Updated November 2022: I have recently moved to North Arlington. I previously had the luxury of having pups board at my house, but unfortunately I don’t have that ability here in Arlington. So now I’m hoping to care for pups in the comfort of their own homes! I have a small Frenchie I’d love to bring along, but can also leave her behind if needed! I’m currently working in the office Mondays & Tuesday, but work at home the rest of the week! Original Profile Details: Hello! My name is Matt! I have worked as the Assistant General Manager at Dogtopia Alexandria for 2 years. We were voted #1 store in North America in 2016 and 2017! I have tons of experience with all types of breeds and personalities, from outgoing, high energy pups to the more reserved and anxious pups. I will provide them with the exercise, care, support and love they need while their Pack Leaders are out of town! I currently have a sweet French Bulldog that will become your pups best friend! Growing up I had two German Shepherds and a Sheltie. I love dogs and am a big believer in “It’s a dog’s world, we just live in it.”

Matthew has now watched our house and dog for multiple weeks at a time, a few times a year, for a few years. There are no words to describe how confident we are in recommending him.
We've had Matthew over to watch our apartment and Frenchie on several occasions for many weeks now. He's the most reliable and communicative Rover we've had in the last ~8 years. We've never had better peace of mind when leaving than when Matthew is taking care of our dog and house. Great person.
Matthew was an exceptionally great pet/house sitter for us when we went out of the country for over two weeks. He stayed at our place and took great care of the house and our animals. He messaged us regularly with updates and photos of our two elderly cats and one very active dog. He provided daily dog walks and followed the pet routine and medicine dosages perfectly. We were able to fully enjoy our vacation knowing our pets were being well cared for and truly loved. We highly recommend Matthew for any of your pet care needs.
Matt is a great sitter! Kind, communicative, and always sends pictures. Lucy had a great time with him and she was well cared for. He even brought his pup so they could play together! Would highly recommend booking Matt for your next trip.

Matthew is great! Very friendly, accommodating. He offered a meet & greet; I really appreciated that he was ready when we got there - for the meet & greet, for the booking, and for the pickup, and helped get our dogs crate, etc into & out of the car. Waldo loved the walks around the lake & having a playmate (Stella). Thanks so much for taking good care of Waldo.

Schedule
I am currently working from home Wednesday through Fridays - so your pup will get a walk first thing in the morning, just after lunch and later in the evening at a minimum. If it’s a Monday or Tuesday, your pup will get an early morning walk, early afternoon then an evening walk at a minimum.
