I have had dogs continuously for 30 years, at all stages of life. - raised and trained four puppies, so I am happy to continue or implement any training you want. Also happy to get up in the night for toileting if necessary. - I’m fit and love exploring new areas, so happy to take dogs on nice long walks. I also have a good throwing arm for dogs obsessed with balls. - I’m patient and happy to take my time with senior/nervous/special needs pets. My philosophy is that bites and scratches are my fault for not doing something the way your pet wants it done. I love all animals equally, and have had the privilege to care for several cats, too :)

I understand how important routine can be, especially when change occurs (such as you going away and/or meeting a new person!) so I will do my utmost to maintain those routines. I also understand how stressful it can be to leave your baby with someone you don’t know, so I’m happy to come meet you first if feasible, or at the very least do a video call. Don’t worry if your instructions are 10 pages long - I’ve had sitters too, I get it :)
Ratings and reviews
Matt did such a great job at looking after our dog Pluto! Pluto adores him and even cries when he says goodbye (a good sign that he’s loved every minute of being in Matt’s care). We get lots of updates everyday and Matt is so considerate of our flat - even washing bedsheets and towels. Couldn’t be happier :)
Matthew was amazing with Frankie! Frankie is a nervous dog, and I’ve never seen anyone put in so much effort to help him feel comfortable and safe. He sent us constant updates and photos throughout our trip, which put our minds completely at ease. We’d recommend Matthew without hesitation, and we’ll definitely be booking him again for Frankie.
Matt was fantastic with our dogs. Super polite, communicative, and patient. We came home to two calm, happy, relaxed dogs and it was clear through lots of photos that they loved their weekend with him. Will definitely work with Matt again 🩶
We loved leaving our 9 month old staffy with Matthew for the weekend. They had a great time. He had superb communication with us, frequent photo updates, he has a great knowledge of dog behaviour and confidently took care of our dog. We came home to a very happy puppy.
Matt took good care of Logan while I was in a short work trip. Good communication, followed instructions. Left the flat in perfect conditions. Thanks, Matt :)
Good communication. Matt arrived at the agreed time and followed instructions for Logan's walk. He's confident, you can tell he knows what he is doing, which is greatly appreciated when someone handles your pup for the first time :)

Schedule
I am self-employed and work from home, so I am very flexible with how/when I do my work. Basically, I work around a pet’s routine!

- Of course it’s helpful to know if your dog has any special needs in advance, but equally don’t feel bad if you want to leave a set of instructions as long as your arm. Every dog has their own quirks, routines, and needs, and I want to keep them as happy as possible in your absence!
