I’ve owned dogs and cats all my life, including my much‑loved Staffordshire Bull Terrier who sadly passed away this year, and I genuinely miss the daily walks and companionship. While I’m not ready for a new dog of my own yet, I’d love to help by giving your dog regular walks, care and attention. I’m mainly focused on dog walking, but I’m also happy to sit and board dogs I’ve already got to know, so they feel comfortable and safe with me. I always treat pets as part of the family, and I’m happy to arrange a free meet‑and‑greet so you can see if I’m the right fit for you and your dog. DBS certificate available.

I was looking for a walker to replace my only walker I’ve had in three and a half years who had a perfect 100% record so big shoes to fill. Matthew has made the transition to new walker for Kevin(3 1/2 yo staffie) so seamless I’ve barely noticed the difference.Excellent timekeeping and great communication with a thorough Rover report card and checking to see if mine and Kevin’s needs are met. I will be using Matthew as my new regular weekly walker and I would highly recommend him to look after you furry friend.
Matty looked after Dave for us for 5 nights. He sent us pictures, videos and updates daily. Dave literally lived his best life with Matty, taking him out for walks and fun the garden. Would highly recommended Matty for any type pet welfare.

Schedule
All walks need to be in the morning and handed back by 1pm as this is when I start work. Other than this I hope to be as flexible as possible.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced garden, I have access to nearby open walks and also a local enclosed field. Where necessary tracker tags will be provided for dog walks. Dogs will be dry toweled before they return. I will tailor how I work depending on your animal, I will only do off lead walks for dogs with strong recall. I can walk dogs on a long or short lead, depending on what you prefer. I have experience with reactive dogs, but I will not walk dogs who show aggressive behaviour.
A typical day
Through having dogs of my own, I understand how much companionship and time outdoors mean to them. I love going on long walks in the woods and am always happy to tailor my time with your dog to suit their personality and needs. Whether that’s a big muddy adventure, a gentle stroll along pathways with extra cuddles for senior dogs, or plenty of playtime and fetch, I’ll make sure our time together is just right for them.
