Hi, I’m Matt. I’ve been surrounded by pets my entire life, and I can’t imagine life without caring for animals. From fish and hamsters to dogs and cats, looking after pets has always been a big part of who I am. Hiccup, my 2.5kg diva Yorkie, keeps me busy with daily walks, endless affection, and plenty of personality! She has full access to the couches and beds because, pets are family and I absolutely adore her. Over the years, I’ve cared for a wide range of breeds, including Jack Russells, Great Danes, Labradors, Scottish Terriers, and a lovely senior German Shepherd. I’m equally comfortable caring for cats too, whether that means litter tray cleaning, feeding routines, playtime, or simply giving them the calm attention and affection they need. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs. If you provide me with a list of what makes your pet happy and comfortable, I’ll always do my very best to care for them with patience, attention, and genuine love.

Matthew was great with Marty. We know he can be a bit barky with new people and situations, but Matthew was unphased and knew how to keep him calm. From the photos it looked like Marty made himself very much at home and he was a happy boy when I collected him in the morning.
Calm and thoughtful. Maya was very well looked after. And communication was great.
Hugo boarded with Matt for a week while we were on holiday. Matt provided regular feedback on how Hugo was getting on and integrated him into his routine really well. Hugo seemed to really enjoy his stay and clearly bonded very well with Matt. Together they went on long walks, runs and generally hanging out together. I can't thank Matt enough for proving a great home to our dog!
I know Matthew well; he's a serious, respectful, and very polite person who loves animals. He and his wife are a fantastic and serious couple. Their dog is treated like a princess, and I've entrusted them with my cat and my fish tank several times. Hi, Matthew is a wonderful person, very kind and warm towards people and animals. He kindly took care of my cat (Tiger McCat) for a week while I was on holidays! I know he kept me updated about him, giving me reassurance and peace knowing that he was in good hands by sending me daily messages about him! When I returned from holidays, Tiger was well, didn't show any signs of anything that could go wrong. She bring a lot of peace. Also, I know that Matthew took good care of Tiger because I know him personally. He is someone I trust because he is a responsible person, carrying and friendly! I would highly recommend him to take care of any pet! He has a heart for animals, and knows from personal experience, that pets are not simply animals but part of the family!

Schedule
Im currently in between Jobs and have plenty of time to spare .Pet care is already a natural part of my daily routine. Between walks, feeding schedules, playtime, and plenty of attention for my own dog, I’m used to planning my days around making pets feel happy, comfortable, and well cared for.

I currently live in a spacious open-plan two-bedroom flat in a pet-friendly neighbourhood, where many of our neighbour’s are pet owners themselves. We always consider boarding pets on a case by case basis , and recommend an introduction before final booking confirmation . I have my own car, so I’m able to travel easily around Edinburgh and nearby areas. I always appreciate receiving a detailed list of your pet’s routine, habits, and care requirements, as building trust and maintaining consistency is very important to me. My goal is to keep your pet’s routine and quality of life as normal and stress free as possible while you’re away. My service includes regular updates, photos, and honest communication throughout the sitting period, so you can feel reassured your pet is happy and well cared for. Whether it’s walks, feeding, playtime, cleaning, medication, or simply companionship, I’m happy to accommodate your pet’s individual needs with care and attention.

My Location is within Edinburgh City Centre , with a large variety of walking trails and pet friendly parks within our neighborhood. I can provide a social walking experience with many dogs around our neighborhood or tranquil solitary strolls .
