I'm a native Chicagoan who grew up with a big-hearted yellow lab named Huckleberry. From an early age, I felt a bond with dogs. As an adult, I had the joy of raising Toby, a sweet and occasionally grumpy rescue who taught me more about patience, loyalty, and unconditional love than practically anyone else. I've taken care of my friends' dogs on an amateur basis for years, so it's a natural fit to transition into professional pet care. In addition to working with animals, I'm a freelance copywriter. Through longtime client, Nestlé Purina, I've developed expertise in dog care, from how to select high-quality dog food to the most effective methods for cleaning canine ears. Whether I'm writing from home or out walking dogs, I appreciate the flexibility to stay responsive and fully present with the animals in my care.
