So now you’re wondering, why would I love this stranger just because my dog does?! And who is to say my dog will even like this guy? Well I’m glad you asked! Let me tell you! So the name’s Matthew and I’ve been around dogs and cats for more than half of my life. When I was born there must’ve been a full moon that night, because me and dogs seem to have a connection that most would kill for! My own dog is meant to be a family pet, but he has turned into my pet over the years. He is 12 years old and his name is Finnegan. He’s a Soft Coated Irish Wheaten Terrier and he is my best friend! When I’m in bed, he’s in bed, when I’m hanging around my family he’s there as well! If I’m outside so is he! Sometimes my mother likes to test his loyalty to me and pretends to attack me, but he always gets in her face and makes it known that he isn’t messing around. Although he is trained and friendly so he won’t actually bite her. Lucky for her! The dogs I watch for family friends always seem to grow attached to me as well. One of the families I dog sit for has 3 dogs, which were all mistreated / abused before she took them in. :( When I first met the dogs, they were a bit afraid because of their past, but a few days later and they were running up to me when I walked in! They loved me and were super comfortable around me! So you’re great with dogs, but what about you as a person? Great question! See what I’ve been taught since I was young is that dogs are the greatest teller of character. So what do I really need to say!? Your dog will tell you themselves! Although you’re thinking, but my dog hasn’t met you, so tell me about you! Well, I’m a pretty calm and not very outspoken kid, but my crazy side comes out when I’m talking to the dogs! (but whose voice doesn’t change when talking to their dog?) The last things for you to know is that I love dogs of all sizes and I am strong enough for any pull that a dog may attempt on me. I also take your dogs safety and happiness very seriously, so if you’re worried...don’t be! Enjoy your vacation or whatever reason you can’t be home and just focus on coming back home to your happy pet!
