I can't recommend Matthew highly enough as a dog sitter! He's so good and patient with my young yorkiepoo (under a year old), teaching him to sit, come, stay, etc. I've lost count of how many times I've contacted Matthew to dog sit. When my puppy had an upset stomach, Matthew went above and beyond to cook him boiled chicken and rice. He's reliable, communicative (frequently sharing pics and videos), flexible, responsive, and professional while still being fun and caring. He's a dog parent himself so he really gets it! Matthew is the best dog sitter in New Haven and I'll definitely book with him again soon!

Schedule
Pet care is a natural and consistent part of my daily routine. I structure my schedule to ensure I have plenty of time for walks, feedings, playtime, and one-on-one attention throughout the day. I’m available mornings, afternoons, and evenings, which allows me to be flexible with different care needs, whether that’s early walks, midday check-ins, or overnight care. I also make sure dogs are never left alone for extended periods and receive regular supervision and engagement. Because I genuinely enjoy being around dogs, I prioritize creating a routine that keeps them active, comfortable, and well cared for while fitting seamlessly into my day.

I prioritize safety, trust, and a calm, structured environment in every home I work in, whether it’s mine or my client’s. I take the time to learn each dog’s routine, personality, and specific needs so I can provide care that feels consistent and stress-free for them. In my home, I maintain a clean, pet-safe space with plenty of supervision, regular potty breaks, exercise, and playtime. I’m mindful of feeding schedules, allergies, and any special instructions to ensure each dog stays healthy and comfortable. Dogs are never left unattended for long periods, and I create a relaxed environment where they can feel at home. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and stick closely to their established routines to keep their pet at ease. I also provide regular updates, photos, and clear communication so owners feel confident and connected while they’re away. With my 30+ years of experience, I’m attentive to behavior, quick to notice changes, and always prepared to handle situations calmly and responsibly. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, loved, and secure at all times.
