Pet care experience

Experienced Caring Dog Lover

I’m 52 years old and have had dogs in my life for as long as I can remember, including Jack Russells and Spaniels. My own dog sadly passed away a few years ago, and I now regularly walk my neighbours’ dogs, including a Cockerpoo and a Labrador. Having spent so many years around dogs, I understand that every dog is different and has their own personality, needs and routine. I’m confident recognising dog body language and knowing when a dog is happy, anxious, tired or needs some space. I understand the importance of appropriate exercise, including knowing when it’s best not to walk a dog due to weather, age, health or how they are feeling. I’m also comfortable with feeding routines, making sure dogs have the correct food and fresh water, and ensuring they are safely and responsibly handled both at home and while out on walks. Most importantly, I treat every dog with patience, kindness and respect. I want owners to feel confident that their pets are in safe, caring hands and that they will receive the attention and companionship they deserve.

Schedule

I work from home as a designer, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to caring for dogs. During the week, I’m available for midday walks and visits, with flexibility around the length and timing depending on each dog’s needs and routine. Because I work from home, I can also give dogs plenty of attention and companionship throughout the day. I’m also available at weekends for walks and pet care, so I can be flexible around owners’ schedules. My aim is to provide a relaxed, caring and reliable service, making sure every dog gets the exercise, attention and companionship they need.

Safety, trust & environment

Your dog’s safety, comfort and wellbeing are my top priorities. I live in a spacious four-bedroom house with a secure, fenced garden, giving dogs plenty of room to relax, play and feel at home in a safe environment. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, so I take a calm, responsible and attentive approach to their care. I’ll follow their usual routines, feeding requirements and exercise needs, while making sure they receive plenty of attention and companionship. I also have the added reassurance of having a sister who is a Veterinary Nurse, so professional advice is readily available should I ever need guidance in an emergency or have concerns about a dog’s wellbeing.
