Your dog’s best friend
I grew up in a household with a few dogs and have always enjoyed offering my time and space to friends’ dogs. I’m patient, affectionate and am quite literally capable of playing with dogs for time on end. Also exploring the idea of getting my own dog and letting Rover be my ramp up period. I’m a dog dag at heart and will love yours like my own. I live in sizeable one bedroom and there’s a dog park right outside my building!

My first time leaving Ocean with a Stranger but with Matthew I felt reassured and I was. I got updated pictures and messages periodically. Matthew is wonderful with dogs period and is a great person. Definitely will use his services again and definitely highly recommend his services.
For anyone weary of leaving their fur-baby with a stranger, rest assured they will be in the best of hands with Matthew! When we first hired him a couple years ago, he babysat our super reactive and timid pitbull (Angel) and he showed no hesitation. Within minutes, Angel was in his lap licking his face. They had a very special bond! Months after Angel passed, we adopted a new dog who is the complete opposite — super friendly and thinks everyone wants all 85lbs of dog hurled at them as soon as they walk through the door. Matthew walked into our home with the same warmth he had for Angel, and he and Sonny were instantly best friends, too. Any time Matthew is in town, we book him right away, even if we don’t need the help with Sonny just because he’s that great with dogs, walks, feedings, and just being a nice guy! Thank you Matthew for making every interaction comfortable! My husband and I love you!! And so does Sonny lol

Schedule
I’m currently self-employed and fully in charge of my schedule, which means I’m flexible for day-care and boarding. I tend to spend much of the weekdays at home, the park, or at a cafe working. Happy to have a dog join me whenever!

Safety, trust & environment
I lean towards being present and engaged with pets when they’re around, but happy to respect the needs and wishes of the clients if the dog prefers a more quite and unbothered home. There’s a dog park just outside my building!
A typical day
Fur baby and I can do plenty, whether they’re active and want to go for a run or walk around the neighborhood, roll around the grass at Fort Greene or Prospect Park, or hang at home and snooze on the couch. Snacks will be found along the way.
