I've been caring for dogs most of my life through adoption, foster, or training. My parents got us our first dog when I was 2 and they've had 3 more family dogs since then. I also adopted and was the primary caretaker for my own dog. Further, I've also helped friends and family with training, walking, and pet-sitting for over 15 years. I'm confident with all size dogs and provide small treats during walks to assist with training if needed. For walks, I'll use a consistent or predetermined path by owner near their home. I'll observe outdoor and indoor play to ensure safety of the pet. Feed and provide water based upon client instructions. For home visits: meet with pet owners to gather pertinent pet care information and discuss pet sitting duties.

Matthew was great with Fergus. Fergus can be a reactive dog and Matthew was very good at understanding and respecting Fergus’ personality and boundaries. Matthew was also great with communication and updating me with daily photos.

Matthew was great! I would definitely recommend him. My Labrador Brie, was very happy staying with him. He took her for long walks in the park and would send me pictures of her everyday. He is caring, responsible and loves taking care of our pets.
We had a great experience with Matt, he looked after Charlie for nearly 2 weeks during our vacation. Communication was great, we received daily updates with photos which made us feel reassured that Charlie is doing well. Matt was super chill about Charlie’s special food and all of our requests. I really recommend Matt and we will definitely book with him again in the future!
Matthew did a great job with my very anxious dog who was relaxed and comfortable when I picked him up. Matthew does a terrific job of staying in touch and sending pics. I will definitely be asking him to sit for my dog again.

Schedule
I currently work remotely for the foreseeable future and required meetings are rare so that I am able to provide consistent attention for your dog and frequent walks.

Safety, trust & environment
I allow pets on all furniture and my bed. I am also near Central Park Great Hill and North Woods, as well as a short walk to 105/west side dog run.
A typical day
I typically do a longer walk in the morning and late afternoon, with two other shorter breaks for the bathroom. I also have a Chuckit for dogs that love fetch and need a lot of exercise.
