Hi, I’m Matt - your local dog walker covering Dinas Powys, Penarth, and Cardiff Bay. I’m outdoors-loving, reliable, and love keeping dogs active, happy, and well-exercised. Whether it’s a relaxed stroll through Cosmeston Lakes or a good run along the Penarth seafront, your dog will get plenty of attention, fun, and exercise. I offer flexible walks to fit around your schedule - mornings, lunchtime, or after work - and I always send updates and photos so you know your dog’s had a great time. Safety, trust & environment
I make sure each dog is always securely on lead, and I only walk in safe, dog-friendly areas like local parks, quiet paths, or open spaces away from traffic. I never mix dogs from different households unless owners are comfortable and the dogs are well matched.

We asked Matthew to take our high energy sheepdog on some walks whilst she was staying with my mum. She's a nervous girl at first, and can be quite aggressive to strangers. Matthew took it all his in stride and was so understanding; offering me reassurance and meeting our dog beforehand free of charge to help settle her nerves. He was due to take her out for some longer walks during a heatwave, and was trying to be very flexible on timing so she could still get walked. He realised it was just too hot no matter what time and refunded the walks he couldn't do. It was reassuring to know he wasn't ever going to put her at risk. I'm a bit of an anxious owner after a bad experience with a sitter once, but Matthew was very comforting and understanding. I'm sure we'll be using him again, as our dog is often with mum and she said it was a great help to have Matthew to support! Thank you!
Popped in to meet the pack prior to taking my 3 girls out. Very timely and lovely photos. Really pleased to find Matthew so local :)
Huge thanks to Matt for giving Ruby, our 8 month red fox retriever, the best day... He stepped in very last minute but was so reassuring and generally helpful and Ruby loved him and his immaculate house/garden. Ruby was with him and wife from 8.30 until 8 pm so long day for all. Could not have been more pleased and will definitely book again.
Matthew is a trustworthy and reliable person to look after your pup. He was available on short notice and we will definitely be booking him again!
Tess had a wonderful time with Matt, and came home happy and chilled. Matt sent lots of pics/vids of Tess chasing balls in his lovely garden, which was very reassuring, and gave regular updates to calm any worry I might have as this was Tess’ first stay away since I have had her. It was a very positive experience and I hope Matt will be able to fit Tess in again very soon for another stay.
I always use Matthew to look after my cat Voukie whenever I go away. Vouk tends to let people know if he doesn't like them (same as most cats I suppose), but he definitely loves a fuss from Matt. Additionally, Voukie has cat asthma, and Matt has always been great when it comes to monitoring Vouk's flare ups and giving him his inhaler. Matthew is professional and punctual and I personally wouldn't use anyone else. Most of all, Voukie feels at home with him, when I'm not there - and that's all I can ask for.

I’m very flexible with my schedule and understand that every owner’s routine is different. Whether you work late, have a busy family life, or just want your dog to get some fresh air after dinner, I’m happy to help. I’m available for evening walks and late drop-ins, so your dog can enjoy the exercise and attention they need - even outside typical daytime hours. My goal is to make things easy and stress-free for you, knowing your pet is in safe, caring hands no matter the time of day.
