Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine, as it’s something I genuinely love doing rather than seeing it as a task. I structure my days to ensure I have plenty of time for walks, playtime, feeding and giving each pet the attention they deserve. Whether it’s early morning walks, midday drop ins, or evening cuddles, I’m flexible and organised to meet each animals specific needs and routine. Because I prioritise reliability and routine, you can feel confident that your dog will be cared for on schedule, with lots of affection and attention built into every visit. My partner also has roughly 15 years of experience with looking after cats, dogs and reptiles, who may accompany me with some visits. She also has experience in sitting for medicated pets. Just for your peace of mind she’s loves every animal as if they are her own!

My passion for animals led me to complete a National Level 3 Diploma in Animal Management, giving me a strong understanding of animal behaviour, welfare and health. But beyond the qualifications, it’s the genuine joy I get from being around dogs that really sets me apart. I treat every animal like part of the family, making sure they feel safe, happy and well looked after while you’re away. So pleased we found Matthew! It was a last minute request, for a big job, and Matthew was absolutely stellar. We were leaving our 16 year old, very anxious dog for the first time in a really long time, and our 3 (yes 3) 10 week old kittens for the first time ever and Matthew felt like someone we could really trust to look after our crazy crew. No request was too much, and he did everything we needed. Matthew sent amazing photos all throughout his visit and gave us regular updates throughout the day which was greatly appreciated. Matthew stayed at my home to look after my dog and two budgies, and he was great. Really easy to deal with, kept me updated while I was away, and just made the whole thing feel very straightforward. My dog was clearly happy and well looked after, and the budgies were absolutely fine too, which was really important to me. It’s obvious he cares and takes things seriously. I also came back to a clean, tidy house, which I really appreciated. Would definitely recommend him and I’d happily have him back anytime.
I had a fantastic experience with Matthew, who stayed at my home for a week to look after my two dogs. From the start, he was reliable, communicative, and clearly very comfortable around animals. He took wonderful care of both dogs, giving them plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. It was obvious he genuinely cared about their wellbeing, which gave me real peace of mind while I was away. On top of that, he kept the house clean and tidy throughout his stay. I returned to everything in great condition, which I really appreciated. I would absolutely recommend Matthew to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring house and pet sitter, and I’d be more than happy to have him back again in the future.
