I have a 5-year-old Golden Retriever who’s very friendly and loves the company of other dogs. I’ve gained experience caring for dogs through volunteering with the Dogs Trust and looking after other people's dogs! Me and my partner treat every dog as if they are our own, whether that’s providing walks, cuddles, playtime, or simply making sure they feel safe and happy while you’re away. Matt and Ximena will never be topped. They watched our boy on numerous trips and the care, love, and compassion they showed him was immeasurable. We had used other sitters prior to Matt and Ximena and first began using them when the others weren't available. After that first visit, we never stopped using them. Very sadly, on this past trip, our dog had a medical emergency. They were fully aware this was a possibility and yet so graciously agreed to still care for him. Through what surely was a traumatic experience, they loved my boy until his last breath and communicated with me constantly through it all. While I will forever be saddened I was therent for my boy in the end, I am so eternally grateful he was in the care of two incredible humans who showered him with love until the end. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will always be thankful for your compassion, love, and patience. If you are looking for someone to love your best friend like you do, please consider Matt and Ximena. I would wish my experience on no one, but ay least I can say with confidence he was in the best of care through it all. ❤️
Can’t praise them enough! Our Winnie gets excited in the car on the way to stay with Matt, Ximena and Teddy.
Again, Matt and Ximena were superb. Bertie obviously loves staying with them and they are brilliant at keeping in touch with reports and pictures.
Winnie is genuinely excited to get to Matt and Ximena on her daycare mornings. She loves spending time with them. She’s getting the chance to spend time with other dogs and really benefits from the socialisation. I love the updates during the day and trust Matt and Ximena 100% with Winnie. Grateful to have found them!

Matt and Ximena were really excellent. My dog Bertie was superbly looked after, and Matt sent me lovely pictures of him with their own dog, Teddy, with whom Bertie got on extremely well. I have no hesitations at all in recommending Matt and Ximena, nor would I hesitate to ask them to care for Bertie again.

We live in a quiet street, away from busy roads. The garden is completely fenced in with 24hr CCTV. We live close to beautiful fields, perfect for dog walks.

A typical day
This will depend on your dogs needs. First and foremost it's important to allow them feel comfortable and safe in a new environment. Following this, let's stretch our legs! It could be a great walk with lots of exercise and adventure or a slower paced sensory/scent walk to allow them to explore at their pace with their nose! We're happy to help train them on the lead or work on their recall, jump in a river to support them with their swimming, or just chill and watch their favourite TV show ❤️
