Your pet will be my #1 priority. I work from home and have a lot of free time throughout the day for lunchtime walks and hikes. If your dog is able to handle stairs, they can hang out with me in my office while I work. I'm an avid hiker and would love to take your dog on local adventures with me. Daily exercise is guaranteed.

I'm a responsible adult and live alone in a single family home with a fenced back yard that has doggy door access during daylight hours. There's even a ramp for older dogs. The house has carpet runners over the wood and tile floors for those older pups who have trouble navigating slippery surfaces. Upstairs access can be limited for those dogs who have trouble with stairs. Being an experienced dog owner, I am always mindful of things they can get into.

Pet care experience
Throughout my life I've recognized, and it's been noted by many, that animals naturally love and trust me. I was raised in the country and grew up taking care of all kinds of creatures. I'm comfortable and experienced with dogs young and old.
Reviews

Wallace came home healthy and tired out from walks and activity. Matt has a real heart for dogs. I would recommend him!
What a great week my two dogs had with Matt. They were so well taken care of. We received daily updates and photos from Matt. He was wonderful and opened his home to our pets as if they were at home. They were able to roam the home, snuggle on the coach, run around in the fenced in back yard and enjoyed long walks. We struggle to place our pets in a kennel for a week because they get so anxious and take a long time to get them back into a routine one we return home. We really loved finding Matt on River and highly recommend him if you want your pets to feel loved in a home environment.

I knew Matt was a great fit for my two dogs when they both refused to get back in the car after our meet and greet. His house and backyard are clean and tidy, the highlight being the doggy door that was well-used during my dogs' stay. Matt is calm, attentive, affectionate, and playful with my dogs and communicative, confident, and reassuring with me. He expertly cared for my sometimes grumpy older dog while managing my 1-year-old pup's energy. I want first dibs on Matt's boarding services so only recommend him for weeks when we don't need him to watch our dogs - ha! I'll definitely book with Matt again.

We requested Matt at the very last minute, for our high energy golden retriever pup Pyro. Matt was very quick to respond and attentive. He is empathetic, adaptive, and a hospitable person. He is a great communicator - he sent us pictures and videos of Pyro every few hours. Despite Pyro being very high energy, Matt didn’t hesitate. He did a wonderful job getting Pyro stimulation and exercise. I would highly recommend Matt, and Pyro made an awesome friend who will be reliable in our future stays!
