I work from home as a bookkeeper and have a very open and flexible schedule. I only have a few set times where I have to go somewhere and it's mostly on Mondays but usually for no more than 2-3 hrs at a time. If I go to the gym, store or and appt I'm never gone more than a couple of hours. I also do bookkeeping for a vet clinic which is great if there's ever a question with a pet I can contact the vets directly. I hope I never have to but it's nice to have that available.

I have a very large fenced yard on a 1/2 acre lot so there's lots of room for dogs to run and play. Since I'm home most of the time they can go outside whenever they need and are out at least every hour or 2 and usually more often. If the weather is nice I will leave the back door open so they can go outside any time they want. I now have 6 dogs and no cats currently in my home. Lola, Lizzie and Bella I've had since they were puppies. I adopted Freya and Judas in early 2024 and Tootsie in May 2024. We actually watched Tootsie for a couple of weeks through Rover and fell in love with her and when we found out she was being fostered and needed a home we immediately started the adoption process. She's such a sweet dog and loves to play and has been enjoying all the dogs we've had and plays so well with any size dog from 10 to 100+ lbs. They're all great dogs get along well with other dogs most of the time. There's only been a couple of dogs so far that some of them didn't get along with. It was usually due to the new dog being a little to rough trying to play. I'm happy to take dogs for walks, to the dog park or play in the backyard with them. I also have two older children who are 11 and 14 and love animals. They love when I'm watching dogs and will play and snuggle with the dogs as much as I do. I have crates available if needed or if they like to sleep in the bed that's fine too. All 3 of us have 1 or more dogs each in the bed with us every night.

Information Matt C. would like to know about your pet
Since I have dogs in my home it's important to know if your dog has any issues with other dogs. I like to do meet and greets if possible to see how they get along. Any other info about allergies, treats, behaviors or anything you think is relevant would be helpful.
A typical day
I love taking the dogs to the dog park. I have a large backyard for them to play as well with lots of toys and balls. There are paths in my neighborhood that are great for walks. I enjoy some cuddle time and will give lots of attention. They aren't left alone much as I'm home most of the time.

Pet care experience
Now that I've been doing this for a while I figured I should make some updates. I've really enjoyed dog sitting so far and have met some great people and dogs along the way and even got a new dog from it. It's been pretty crazy at times but I'm loving it. The rare days where I just have my 6 dogs it feels so calm, lol. We've had as many as 12 dogs for a night and it went really well and they were all really good dogs. It seems so normal now to have 8-10 dogs here which I never thought was possible. It's been a lot of fun and I wish I would have started doing this sooner. I've always had pets and love animals. Since I was about 10 I was the main caretaker for my families pets because I wanted to, not because I had to. As an adult I've had as many as 5 cats at one point. I've also had as many as 6 dogs and have always had either cats, dogs or both my entire life. I have lots of experience taking care of both cats and dogs of all ages and sizes from a 5lb Maltese to a 200lb Mastiff who thought she was a lapdog. I've watched family and friends pets for years both in my home and theirs and always enjoyed it. I've potty trained all of my puppies and am very patient with them. I have also taken care of older pets with health issues. We had a rat terrier who recently passed at 16 years old. She had a lot of health issues and took several medications multiple times a day. I am very organized and keep things neat and tidy and follow all feeding and care instructions that you may have. I will take care of your pet like it's my own.
Reviews

Matt is amazing and so good and kind. Treats my dog like she is his dog.

Pippin had a great time, will book again!

Matt is great and knows how to care for our older dog. He is quite flexible and handled Biscuits stay perfectly.

We had a fantastic experience boarding our dogs with Matt over the Fourth of July weekend. With just one day’s notice, he was able to make accommodations for us, which we really appreciated. Throughout the weekend, Matt provided constant updates and photos, which gave us great peace of mind. One of our dogs struggles with fireworks, but Matt clearly knew how to help her through the holiday stress. His communication was excellent, he was laid-back, accommodating, and genuinely cared for our pups. We would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable dog boarder, and we’ll definitely be reaching back out the next time we need care for our dogs.
