Regularly care for my own dog (beautiful lab/pit mix) and have had dogs (& other pets) all of my life. I love the bond shared between me and my pets and that experience that I get to pass along to my children, who are helping care for our senior dog.

Knowing the temperament of your pet(s) is helpful before I care for them. With some animals it is best to meet them before caring for them just so they can get an introductory sniff to see I'm a safe person. Additionally, with more territorial pets, having you present to let them know I am allowed to enter your property can be very helpful. You know your pet best, so I will follow your lead and directions to provide the best service while giving you peace of mind knowing they're in the best hands while you're away.
A typical day
As my years of experience with pets has taught me, every pet needs something different. However, they all need attention and exercise so I can definitely provide that. Whatever your pet enjoys - whether playing with a toy, lots of running, or just getting outside for a bit -- I gotcha covered. I follow your instructions for your pet.

Our Family had a great vacation, thanks to Matt! Matt was professional, friendly and a great communicator. We loved getting his fun and detailed messages along with pictures of our fur babies. Both animals we were happy to see us when we got home but not nearly as clingy as when they’re boarded. We knew this meant they got lots of attention and love from Matt. Would recommend him if you need pet care and plan to work with him again when we travel without our pets.

Matt has lots of the qualities that a dog caregiver needs: He’s an early riser, physically strong and fit, and good at scheduling his day. He gives pet instructions in a calm, authoritative voice. He knows the needs of animals for exercise and also for calm company and play. He’s also not afraid of hard work, and takes pride in a job well done.
