Cat sanctuary volunteer for 3 years
I’ve been working as a volunteer at Almost Home Adoptions cat sanctuary in Westminster, CO since 2021. I help take care of between 80-100 cats and kittens every Sunday, assisting visitors with adoption applications and serving as a point-of-contact for all cat related questions. I’ve been hired by friends and family all across the Denver area to take care of their cats during their travels because they know I’m a huge cat enthusiast! While I don’t own any of my own cats at the moment due to lease restrictions, this means I have more time to spend with yours!

Safety, trust & environment
My cat sitting style depends a lot on the cat’s personality, a human shy cat usually prefers limited and careful interaction, whereas a friendly cat will get plenty of affection and stimulation to their heart’s content. A lot of cats at the sanctuary have chronic health problems or specialized diets, so I am experienced in administrating medicine or portioning out special diet foods.

Matison was great with our cat. We don’t worry about him when he is in her care. He is well taken care of!
Matison is just the best! She will continue to be our go to whenever she is available. Our kittens love her and we feel such peace of mind when away knowing they are so well cared for.
As always Matison was fantastic! We will continue booking with her as long as she is available. It’s such a comfort to know our cats are in her care while we are traveling.
Matison did drop in visits for our kitties after staying over a couple nights. We appreciated the updates and photos she sent! We definitely recommend Matison!

Schedule
I work for the City of Boulder with a pretty variable schedule, with Sundays and Mondays completely off and most evenings after 5 free to sit. I work at the cat sanctuary from 11am to 3pm on Sundays so I won’t be able to catsit during that time.
