Care That Feels Like Family
Hi! I’m Matilde, but you can call me Tilly. I’m French, Italian and grew up 50/50 in both countries. Now, I have my own pet care business (wagandwander). My heart is still deeply connected to the animals I grew up with. My childhood was spent on farms, surrounded by all kinds of animals - cats, dogs, rabbits, horses, llamas, sheep and many more! We dedicated many years to rescuing and caring for animals in need, and I learned the importance of kindness and responsibility in animal care. I am first aid trained and dog behaviour trained, ensuring your pets are cared for safely and with a strong understanding of their individual needs and behaviour. While I no longer have pets of my own in the UK, I miss having animals around and love taking care of friends’ and family’s pets whenever I can, I usually am the go to girl. I’d be thrilled to meet your furry family members!

Tilly was fantastic with my lovely springer spaniel. Her communication is quick and clear and she clearly has a passion for our four legged friends - she really got to know him. Tilly looked after him during an extremely hot spell and kept him safe and happy whilst I was away.
Tilly is amazing, she kept us informed and we are happy we found a gem! TY!
Suzie was well looked after and enjoyed the company of other dogs. Matilde was very helpful in terms of accommodating timings for drop off and pick up. She kept me up to date with pictures. Nice garden for adventures!

This was our first time using a pet-sitting service, and Matilde made the whole experience incredibly easy and reassuring. From the start, she was warm, friendly, and clearly great with dogs - our puppy Maggie absolutely adored her straight away. We’ve now used Matilde twice for overnight stays, and we couldn’t recommend her more highly. She kept us regularly updated, which gave us peace of mind, and it was so lovely to see how happy and relaxed Maggie was in her care. We feel very lucky to have found her and will definitely be booking her again.
Matilde took excellent care of Scout and Matilda - communication and updates were great, and they settled in well. Would definitely send them to her again!

Schedule
I run my pet care business full time which gives me complete flexibility to prioritise the needs of the pets in my care. My schedule is built around them, allowing me to be fully present for walks, playtime, feeding, medication, or simply giving extra attention when it’s needed. I’m able to adapt each day to ensure every pet receives attentive, dependable, and personalised care.

In my home, I create a safe, comfortable, and enriching home from home environment for pets by giving them plenty of space to explore, play, and relax. I live in a house with a secure garden, which provides a wonderful outdoor area. When caring for pets in their own home, I carefully follow the owner’s instructions, maintain a calm and familiar environment, and make sure each pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away.
A typical day
A typical day with the pets I care for is focused on fun, enrichment and routine. I usually start with a morning walk. In the afternoon, we might head out for another outing, perhaps a visit to the beach, local woods, or simply more time outdoors exploring. Throughout the day, there’s always plenty of downtime for play, naps, treats and some cuddles. You’ll also receive regular photos and updates, so you can feel reassured while your pet is in my care. Each day is tailored to your pet’s individual needs and energy levels, making sure they get the right balance of physical activity, mental stimulation and rest.
