Hello, I'm Matt, I am a full time pet care provider and I have been a member on Rover since 2015. Growing up with pets back home has encouraged me to give all of my love to other people's pets! I know what it's like to want a night out or weekend away, having to take a business trip or planning a vacation; you want your pup to be in a happy, safe and healthy environment! That is where I am happy to help! I am in my early 40's and I take pride in caring for pets and do so as if they were my own. I am reliable, attentive to detail, provide the love and attention that they deserve as well as special care instructions if needed. My house is pet free, wide-open, in a beautiful and quiet neighbourhood that is surrounded by green areas and parks. ** Dogs with special requirements: If your pet is not friendly with other dogs, has separation anxiety or is still going through puppy like behaviour (potty training, chewing, biting etc) I am able to accommodate bookings but with the care done in your home, the nightly rate would be $149 ** Dog sitting: As a general guideline, I work on a 24hr. drop-off/pickup timeline. I am flexible on your preferred times but like to follow this structure. As an example, if you would like to drop off your dog at 8 am, the pickup time on the scheduled day would be 8 am, if after there is an extended care rate. I can take up to 3 dogs at a time which is all dependent on maintaining a safe, calm and friendly environment. Dog Daycare: As a general guideline, I provide up to 10 hours of care. I follow a 9-hour workday plus two 30-minute windows so that you are able to drop off and pick up with sufficient time. I am flexible on your preferred times but we do like to follow this structure. As an example, if you want to drop off your dog at 8 am, the pickup time would be 6 pm. If it exceeds this we charge an overnight rate. Dog Walks: I offer 30 & 60 minute private or group walks. Evening and weekend walks we charge an additional +$5.

Matthew was our first-ever dog walker experience, and he was exceptional. Friendly and kind, communicative and clear, prompt and professional. The dogs loved their walk with him. Can’t wait to send them with Matthew again.
Not our first stay with Mathew and for sure more in the future. What a great help with last minute request. Took great care of our elderly Golden Doodle. We knew that Mathew would be able to attend to her needs with care and he did.

This was Tilda and Mika's first time being looked after by Mathew. I appreciated that Mathew was available on short notice over the holidays, enabling us to get away for our first vacation together in years. Communication was easy and Mathew kept me updated with news and photos of the kitties. I felt better being away from them, knowing they were in good hands. I wouldn't hesitate to book Mathew again in the future!
Matthew cared for Teddy Bear for 9 days while my family was on vacation. Matthew loves dogs and knows how to take good care of them. He is kind and professional. .

Schedule
I work from home prominently doing pet care but I do have scheduled dog walks in Riverdale and Leslieville so depending on pack size and location we try to take them along. If taking them along isn't possible we might have to be at the house for 2-3 hours.

Safety, trust & environment
I do my best to have the same care and schedule that is given to them at your home. From feeding to walking - I am happy to allow them on furniture or beds if you are ok with that.
A typical day
We typically get in 3 walks a day (morning, afternoon and evening) and I'm happy to spend lots of time with them in the back yard. I might have another booking if personalities permit so they could have a new best friend to spend time with.
