Pet care fits very naturally into my routine. I have a flexible schedule at the moment and plenty of availability. I want to provide pets focused, hands-on attention and care. After stepping away from large daycare environments I want to continue using my skills gained in this field to provide care for animals, especially those who require fully-present enrichment, attention and excercise and may not do well in group environments and need a dedicated one-on-one caregiver.

Creating a safe and trustworthy environment is a top priority for me, I am very experienced in reading dog/cat body language, respecting boundaries and adjusting my approach to every pets specific needs and comfort levels. I have experience with many animals of different sizes, breeds and temperaments and know how to navigate nervousness, anxiety and any other elevated emotions. I communicate clearly with owners so they know their animals are getting the best care possible and notify them of any problems or concerns in regards to their pets safety, health and needs.

A typical day
A typical day would be structured around each pet’s specific needs, energy levels and personality. For higher energy dogs a good amount of playtime and an engaging walk or run around the neighborhood, nearby woods or park. For cats, interactive play with toys, gentle enrichment and companionship to keep them occupied. My goal is to keep pets safe, happy and exercised while respecting their individual needs.

Pet care experience
I have extensive experience in the pet-care industry. I started doing dog-walking and dog-running for a variety of sizes and breeds. Tailoring walks to their specific energy levels and needs. I then moved on to working in Dog Daycares as a room attendant for about 4 years, I gained lots of experience with pack dynamics, body language, as well as handling a multitude of sizes, breeds, temperaments and needs. I also assisted in boarding operations for daycare and did more hands-on care with medications, feeding schedules, etc. I recently have gained experience in taking care of cats and now have one of my own. Some of my experience is with kittens who needed training and lots of play. Others were elderly and needed special attention, needing to administer medications at specific times. I am a huge animal lover with lots of experience in this field and wish to provide the best possible care for your animals.

Mason was great! I will definitely be using his services again. My dogs can be reactive and are pretty high energy so I was worried about letting someone else walk them. Mason came to meet them and made me feel really reassured that they would be in great hands. I also got updates and lots of pictures.
Mason is a gentle guy, and fun for my puppy. Plus he is strong enough to it get dragged around by the boundless energy of big dog puppyhood.
Mason is an awesome pet sitter. My cat is an older guy and high maintenance. He needs lots of attention and meds 12 hours apart. Mason was very attentive to my guy. Giving him lots of pets, cuddles and playtime with him. I had him come 3 times a day to give my guy the attention he needs. when I came home from being out of town. Little box and bowls were spotless. Best of all, my cat was super Happy.... he borderline wasn't even excited to see me at first.... lol I would definitely hire Mason again, and highly recommend.
I have known Mason for many years. One thing that has always stood out is his love of animals. Mason is so in turn to the animals around him. I have trusted him with the care of my home and dog and I was so pleased with the experience. Mason took great care of Zeke, not just walking him but also interacting with him so he wasn’t lonely. I highly recommend Mason as a dog and house sitter.
