Certified Trainer,Personalized Care

Dogs have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started caring for and watching dogs when I was a kid, have dogs of my own, and eventually turned that lifelong love of dogs into a career. Today, I’m a full-time professional dog trainer and KPA Certified Training Partner (KPA CTP), with 8 years of hands-on training experience and experience working with over 100 dogs. I’ve worked with dogs of all ages, breeds, personalities, and training levels—from puppies learning their first skills to senior dogs who need a little extra patience and a slower pace. I also have extensive experience with more complex behavioral needs, including reactivity, fearfulness, resource guarding, separation anxiety, and aggression. My training background has taught me how important it is to read each dog’s body language and adjust my approach based on what makes that individual dog feel safe and comfortable. Having someone else care for your dog can be stressful, so my goal is to give them the same patience, attention, and individualized care I’d want for my own dogs. Whether they’re an outgoing social butterfly, a nervous dog who needs time to warm up, a busy puppy, or a senior who would rather spend the afternoon relaxing, I’m happy to meet them where they are.

Mason was so great to work with. He was accommodating and professional and has a great place for boarding, including a fully fenced grassy yard. He has experience training dogs and seems to enjoy having dogs around and spends time with them. My mopey sleepy English bulldog found his puppy energy again while staying with Mason and his lovely dog Apollo. Highly recommend.

I highly recommend Mason! He helped Bandit with his leash reactivity and pulling, and we’ve already seen such a difference. He’s patient, knowledgeable, and truly cares about the dogs he works with. So grateful for his help! 🐾

Mason is fantastic! My dog has special needs and requires special meal prep and Mason was able to accommodate to ensure my lil guy’s routine didn’t get altered. He took care of my dog as if it was his own. I received regular pictures and updates letting me know my dog was doing great! It’s an added benefit that Mason is a certified dog trainer so he can accommodate various behaviors and needs. If you want someone you can trust, you’re in good hands with Mason.

Schedule

Pet care is already a big part of my everyday routine. I’m a full-time professional dog trainer and primarily provide board-and-train services out of my house. Because of that, my schedule is built around caring for dogs throughout the day, including regular potty breaks, walks, enrichment, playtime, training, and plenty of downtime. I only occasionally leave for an hour at a time for private training sessions, so I’m with the dogs most of the day and can give them lots of individual attention.

Safety, trust & environment

For pets staying with me, I do my best to keep their routine as familiar and comfortable as possible. I follow each owner’s instructions for feeding, walks, medications, sleep schedules, and any individual needs or preferences. I have a fully fenced yard for safe potty breaks, outdoor time, and play, in addition to walks and enrichment throughout the day. As a professional dog trainer, I’m very comfortable reading canine body language and adjusting care based on each dog’s personality and comfort level. I prioritize safe, thoughtful management, especially when caring for multiple dogs, so every dog has their own space and is never pressured to interact with other dogs. I am able to separate dogs that don't do well with other dogs and can provide playtime for those that do! For owners who are interested, I can also incorporate professional training during their dog’s stay as an additional service. Training needs, goals, and options can be discussed separately so we can determine what would be most beneficial for your dog.

A typical day

A typical day is a mix of activity, enrichment, and plenty of time to relax. We start with a morning potty break in my fully fenced yard, followed by breakfast and some downtime. Throughout the day, dogs get regular outdoor breaks, walks, playtime, and enrichment based on their individual energy level and preferences. Activities might include sniff walks, games, toys, basic training exercises, or just hanging out and getting some one-on-one attention. Since I’m a full-time dog trainer and work primarily from my house, I’m with the dogs for most of the day and can adjust our routine to what each dog enjoys and is comfortable with. I also believe downtime is just as important as activity, so dogs have plenty of opportunities to settle, nap, and decompress between activities.

I’d love to know as much about your dog as possible before their stay! Please let me know about their normal routine, personality, likes and dislikes, feeding schedule, medications, allergies, and any special needs. I also appreciate knowing about any behavioral concerns, including reactivity, resource guarding, separation anxiety, fearfulness, escape tendencies, or a history of aggression or biting. As a professional dog trainer, I’m comfortable caring for dogs with a wide range of personalities and behavioral needs, so having a behavior concern doesn’t necessarily mean your dog isn’t a good fit. I just ask that you’re completely upfront so I can make sure I’m able to provide a safe and comfortable environment for your dog and everyone in my care. I’m happy to discuss your dog’s individual needs before booking.
