I have one pretty mellow dog and one cat that likes dogs. My dog gets treats when I leave the house once or twice a day. Water bowls are always full. Dogs hang out wherever I am. If I am in my bedroom, the door is always open, they can come in. If I'm in the kitchen or living room or out back in the fenced yard, they are always welcome to be where I am.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a secure, fenced-in backyard. I let the dogs go out as long as they want to be out. Usually, they don't want to come right in. I sit with them sometimes, or play ball and brush them. They are kept inside the house at night and most of the day, except for potty breaks. We are more careful in the summer heat, even though they seem to like being out there.

Information Marylu C. would like to know about your pet
You may leave me with medications (tablet, liquid, syringe) and we can make accommodations as necessary for your pet. I need to know if your dog is food aggressive (no problem, I feed visiting dogs in a separate room if they are food aggressive), toy aggressive, etc.
A typical day
I have a big backyard and mainly allow the dogs to run around, smell, and play as they want to. Currently planning to place 2-4 agility course items after mowing season for dogs to enjoy. Getting ready to buy a ball launcher! It would only be used when I'm around.

Pet care experience
I have taken care of dogs for 40 years on and off as people need me. Started with friends for free! I've volunteered at local animal shelter. I've adopted dogs and 2 cats from local shelters. I took in my uncle's dog (uncle diagnosed with brain tumor). I've rescued dogs off the streets and taken them to low kill shelters! I actually love dogs and will greet them on the street before ever saying hi to their owners. I need to do better at that. Your dog will be cared for and looked after. I let them out 6-8 times a day in the fenced in backyard Saturday-Monday. I am at work 4 days a week for 4 hours each day. So that is the longest they are left in the house. I enjoy them hanging around with me. If your pet needs to be in a crate at night, no problem. I have a large crate so you don't have to lug one around. If they don't need a crate, they are welcome to join my dog and me in my bed. If I have more than 2 visiting dogs, we all sleep on my 3 couches. Everyone gets their own space, even me! I also sit for friends and word of mouth, so they won't be listed on my Rover calendar. For example: June 3, 2025: I have one dog, not from Rover, and my dog. Tomorrow, I'm getting a friend's 2 dogs. Later in the month, 2 other word-of-mouth dogs.

She took great care of Watson
Marylu took good care of our dog while she was with her for a long weekend. You can tell that she loves dogs!

Marylu was wonderful with my dog. She gave me great advice on training and was wonderful to talk to and took care of Amern. 5/5 stars!
Marylu has rescued many dogs out of difficulties. She has fostered ailing dogs needing attention and special care. She volunteered at McKamey Animal Shelter. She loves dogs as individuals, not shying away from dogs in need. She trains her dogs to be obedient in the household community. She cared for my dog for 3 months as I recovered from surgery. I highly recommend Marylu to care for your dog in her home. Compassionate and attentive, Marylu can be relied upon to care well for your dogs.
