Pet care experience

Your dog is the CEO. I’m just the assistant.

I’ve owned dogs for most of my life, but these days my life is run by my three cats. While I love my feline overlords, I am currently on an involuntary "Cat sabbatical", and I am suffering from a severe deficiency of unconditional love. I’m not just a casual animal lover; I’ve raised dogs myself so nothing phases me. Muddy paws? No probs. Picky eater? Got it covered. I know the ropes; from adherence to feeding schedules to the importance of a good, long walk. Since I don't currently have a pup of my own, your dog will get 100% of my attention. I’m looking to fill that "dog-shaped hole" in my heart. I have spent years being the go-to sitter for friends and family. I promise to maintain your dog's routine & keep their tail wagging.

Maryke and her family took such lovely care of our two dogs whilst we were away! They were friendly from the very start, agreed to a meet and greet and sent lovely updates whilst we were away. Both doggos are still knackered today which shows they had a good time :)

Maryke was amazing at looking after Andy for the day. We did a meet and greet and she showed the house and garden which is lovely and big!! Maryke was really quick and good at communicating and Andy came home very happy after having lots of walks and fuss 😁

We left our dog Suze with Maryke for just over three weeks, and we couldn't have asked for anything better. Maryke took great care of Suze, who was effectively the CEO of the house. We received lots of photos and videos, and our dog looked really happy. The house is large, with a huge garden. I highly recommend her, and we will definitely use her services again. Thank you!

Maryke was a wonderful sitter for our two cats, she took very good care of them and I don't think they wanted to leave when we came to pick them up! :) When we picked our cats, Maryke had cleaned everything and it was ready to go. The cats had obviously bonded with her and I am sure they will enjoy seeing her again. She is very thoughtful and loving to animals and she has a very calm and comforting personality which is great for caring for animals. You should defiantly give her a try if you are looking for a sitter for your animal(s). Thank You Maryke ! ! !

Schedule

I recently finished my degree, so I am currently home full-time with a very flexible schedule. This is perfect for pups who need extra attention or frequent loo breaks! I am around to provide all-day companionship and can easily work around whatever routine your dog is used to. PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE ARE FREQUENTLY OTHER DOGS BOARING AT OUR HOME TOO.

Safety, trust & environment

Think of my place as a fun doggy retreat! I have a large, secure garden perfect for zoomies, plus two indoor 'dog zones' (a quiet room and a conservatory). I live with my sister and her small dog, so your pup will always have a built-in playmate and plenty of social time. I treat every guest like family, so I'm happy to accommodate whatever routine makes them feel most at home. PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE ARE FREQUENTLY OTHER DOGS BOARING AT OUR HOME TOO.

A typical day

Our day usually starts with a stretch and a 'patrol' of the garden to sniff out any overnight news. After breakfast (served strictly on schedule!), we usually head out for a good adventure walk to burn off some energy. Mid-days are spent hanging out at home—your pup will have our resident dog to play with, or they can have a snooze inside. Since I am home full-time, they get constant companionship, regular potty breaks, and chilled evenings

We have a happy, busy household with a family atmosphere! To ensure everyone has a relaxed stay, we just need to confirm that your dog is: Good with kids. (We have children who are excited to have a temporary friend!). Friendly with other dogs (as we have a lovely Jack Russell mix to show them the ropes). PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE ARE FREQUENTLY OTHER DOGS BOARING AT OUR HOME TOO.
