Hi! My name is Marybeth and I have always loved cats and dogs! My second loves are outdoor adventures and craft beer! :) I understand and know what it's like to go away or not be around to make sure your fur baby(ies) is taken care of, loved and have someone there to be with them. Growing up my family fostered lots of different cats from the Humane Society, I currently helping AVA in Hamilton with the TNR program and I have had my own cat(s) my entire life. I live with a rescued 3-year-old male named Remington and an 8-year-old Hamilton street cat named Portia and have experience with kittens and senior cats. My last three fur babies lived to be 17-19 and needed special care and medication. I'll admit I've never had my own dog (one day!) but have taken care of my parent's chihuahuas (the 'kids' that replaced my brother and me when we left home) plus their foster rescue dogs. I currently walk a few dogs (golden retriever, french bull dog, basset hound) and I have done a 10-day remote dog sled trip. I'm physically active and love being outside (my undergrad is Outdoor Recreation); walking dogs gives me a great excuse to get some fresh air (even when it's bad weather!) Here is the basic care of what I provide; every animal is different and I work with my clients to understand what their needs are. Cat Care: - I spend at least 30 mins per visit. - I clean the litter, change the water every day and follow their specific daily feeding needs. - I have experience providing medication, orally and with a needle. - I am familiar with all types of cats and know each cat needs something different whether they like to play, get brushed or just have company. Dog Walking: - I spend at least 30 mins per walk - I have experience with all types of dogs: big/small, puppies/seniors - I have experience with training techniques and work with you to ensure the same language is used I am happy to bring in your mail and water any requested plants on my visit. If you have needs outside of this please feel free to contact me and I'd be happy to discuss them. I always send photos and lots of updates and I will take great, loving care of your fur children!

This was the second time Marybeth took care of our two cats and she did a fantastic job again! One of our cats needs insulin injections and she took care of it no problem! Such a comfort to go away knowing that are cats are in such impeccable care!
Marybeth was wonderful with our senior cat while we were away. Great with communication both before our trip and during. We didn’t worry about Pete the cat at all knowing she was checking in on him! Will absolutely use her in the future and recommend to others!

Schedule
I mostly work from home and can be flexible on the time of day if I plan ahead (depending on scheduled meetings) I can be very flexible to you and your pet's needs. While you're away I try and come at the same time every day to establish a routine with your fur baby(ies).
