Privately Insured through Pet Sitters Associates I am Not accepting midday weekday clients at the moment. That part of my schedule is fully booked for the time being with a wait list for some days. Covid update: Besides my normal disinfecting routine, masking, and covid tests every other week, I am also keeping up with a regular schedule of vaccines. I have a compromised immune system so I take every precaution, and I ask that you respect my safety by doing so as well. For the last six years prior to moving to Providence in June of 2019, alongside of doing Rover, I have worked in, and for three years been director of, a childcare facility where I was involved in the daily care of children aged 3-18 (as well as occasionally children as young as six weeks), some with Autism, Asperger's, and behavioral disorders, as well as those in the foster care system. Recently relocating permanently to Providence from southern New Jersey I am excited to meet so many new animals and care for them all as well as making Animal care my full time and only job. I have always held a love for animals and have enjoyed the privilege of raising and training two of my own rescue dogs. Through Rover I have met and cared for dogs, cats, goats, chickens, fish, guinea pigs, rabbits, and giant rabbits and am always willing to learn new ways to care for all kinds of creatures, treating my client's animals as my own. If you are booking me for a vacation you are much more likely to be sure of a spot in my calendar if you book early, and I ask that if you are requesting midday visits you give me a possible two hour time range as the middle of the day is very popular and I would like to accommodate you along with my regulars which sometimes requires slight shifting to make sure that everyone gets the proper care they need. I have experience administering oral, topical, and injected medications to animals as well as handling high anxiety or special needs cases. I love all animals though mine and the animals safety and well being comes first.

Maryann was such a lifesaver for us! We had a special event to go to out of town, but by golly there are Rover sitters everywhere, including Providence, RI. Maryann hung out with our little Bonny (a 5-lb. snuggly little chihuahua) in our hotel room, and was a calm, warm presence. Very professional in wanting to know about Bonny, what she liked/didn't like, special instructions, etc. She came highly recommended and we now happily join that chorus of satisfied customers. Maryann was wonderful with our two cats. They warmed to her almost immediately, and she was great at making sure that one of our cats got her heart medication. She also sent a lot of pictures and some funny updates. Would definitely hire again!

Maryanne was absolutely amazing and a truly dedicated animal lover. When we did our initial meet before my first booking she was so professional and clearly cared about the welfare of my little (big) man (cat). When she was at my place I could see that my cat was so happy to be with her. She is the best! I will be using her as my regular drop in when I’m away!

Animals in my care are never allowed off leash in unenclosed areas like front yards or parks, and I take every precaution at doorways to prevent escape attempts by curious cats and dogs.

A typical day
I like to stick as close to your animal's usual routine as possible to eliminate further anxiety that may be caused by being without their favorite people, so if they are accustomed to long hikes that is what we will do, if they are use to racing atound after a ball in the yard then I am all in. And of course I love my couch cuddlers. Please tell me all of your pets' favorite activities.

- I like to do a meet and greet before we book so that I can get to know you and your animals personalities ahead of time, can go over safety procedures with you, and just make sure that everyone is comfortable before the booking. I also require proof of vaccinations (Rabies, Parvovirus, Distemper, and Bordatella) as well as assurance that your animal is on a flea and tick preventative before care can begin, so please have vaccination records available for me when we meet or shortly after, but before the booking. **Please note: This means that I do not take on new clients for same day services.** ***I also do not refund last minute/same day cancelations except in the case of extreme weather for walks*** If you are booking house sitting, my hours for overnights are from six pm to eight am, though depending on the rest of my schedule I may be able to spend more time with your animals than that. If you need midday walks or visits those are booked separately from the overnight stay.
