Family Home, Lots of Kid Love
I have many years of experience caring for dogs (and cats, but my son is allergic). My children love dogs and understand dog behavior/communication. We have one dog, 5 years old, 70 lb mix who loves humans and dog friends of all sizes to play with. I have experience with puppies and we enjoy their energy. I have experience training dogs and have taken 6, 1-1 training sessions from a professional dog trainer as well as a basics weekly class of 4 sessions. I believe in high reward (loves, treats, eye contact) and clear communication with the dog. Please let me know your commands for your dog so I can provide consistency. I have experience caring for senior dogs as well. I have worked with dogs to correct behavior in my home and to leash train while in my care. We do a minimum of two walks per day. The back yard is always available.

Marya was great. Communicated since day one. I can tell our 11 month old Frenchie “Buster” had a great time at her house. She sent pictures to us throughout the day showing us how he was playing with other dogs that they had there. Buster was exhausted by the time we picked him up. Would highly recommend Marya with your dog/s. Will be taking him back next time we need a sitter.

Marya was communicative and her and her family did a great job taking care of our dogs. Very nice people, we’d definitely recommend them.
Highly recommend Marya! She was sweet and professional and sent me more pictures than I can ask for. Our dog is also epileptic and had a few seizures while with her. She remained calm and followed the directions as exactly as we asked her too and Mochi seemed happy. Her house was also clean which is oddly not the case for lots of sitters we've used. We will be using her again!

Schedule
I work most days from home and I am home on the weekends. Days I have to go into work for a meeting, my husband is working at home and cares for our pet friends. Your dog will not be left alone for more than 45 minutes on a rare occasion (in the case I need to run a quick errand where dogs aren’t welcome, such as grocery store, with your consent). My 4 sons ages 10, 13 and 15 (twins) help with feeding, loving attention, play and walks.

Safety, trust & environment
Dogs are welcome to hang out on a dog bed or blanket you provide. We have wood floors which make mess clean up a breeze and we have a small, 6ft high-fenced yard where we leave the door open for dogs to come and go as they wish. We have lots of dog toys and extra food bowls, lots of fresh water always available (welcome to bring your own bowls, but not necessary unless your pup needs a slow feeder). All dogs are fed individually in a separate room for safety. If your dog is ok on walks, we will walk 2-3 times per day and we can visit the park on our block with a fenced dog park (if your dog is ok with that). Our apartment community is very pet friendly and has many old growth trees, paths, grass and dog waste bins. We enjoy overnights and can often accommodate late and early pick ups and drop offs. Please contact me if you have questions or special requests and will work together to accommodate your needs.
Pets
A typical day
We will take several walks and head to the dog park nearby, as long as that’s ok for your dog. We will play games, including fetch, tug of war, etc. I like to work on training needs about 10-15 mins at a time a 1-2 times per day in the house or at the dog park (reduce jumping, improve recall, etc.)

- Please let me know your feeding preferences. We have a large freezer available for frozen food and can store food in fridge. We can do wet/canned as well as kibble. Let me know favorite toys or activities, any special Needs or Medications, an emergency contact and any special requests. Please make sure your vet and emergency contacts are updated in your Rover Account. Please let me know if your dog is reactive with other dogs, their behavior when food is introduced, etc. ahead of time so I can divide up the dogs in separate rooms accordingly and give them space as-needed. Also, let me know any other behavior concerns so I can be prepared to accommodate and ensure that any other pups I’ll book will be a good match with yours. Please advise if your dog is chipped and if they have a GPS tracker collar or air tag.
