Information Mary Y. would like to know about your pet

Let me know if you dog has any special needs I need to account for such a medications or activity limitations so that I can be sure they get the care they are used to.

A typical day

When I take my own dogs on walks, I like to go anywhere from nature trails, park sidewalks, or small walks around town. Depening on whatever your pet may be able to handle physically, I am willing to go on grand adventures with them. On top of walks, I do consider myself a good conversationalist (whether they are listening or not), I am willing to give hugs if needed, I show plenty of patience, I tend to have plenty of energy to spend on hours and hours of games.

Pet lover since birth!

Pet care experience

For most of my life, I grew up on a farm full of a variety of animals. We owned chickens, cows, pigs, goats, ducks, geese, horses, and sheep. On top of that, we also kept many dogs and cats around too. Due to this, I grew up loving all my animal companions and practicing the best ways to care for our furry friends. I now live in an apartment with just my two cats but take with me my past experience of two years working at a vet clinic as a ward attendant, participating in dog walking, administering medications, and other general animal care. Currently, I am looking for ways to fill my free time with a little extra animal love, as I am someone who likes to always be busy doing something for others. With my current job as a teacher, my schedule is pretty strict, unfortunately. However, my evening availability can be very flexible. I could be available from 5 pm to 10 pm during the weekdays and then free all day during weekends. Therefore, if you need my help with your furry family member, I would be glad for you to use my low-priced services offered ranging from walks to house sitting to drop-in visits!

We had to cancel this booking - how can I get a refund for the booking? Mary had a conflict and my event was cancelled for the evening.

Mary watched my 2 dogs for several days over Memorial Day weekend. She did great with them. I had excellent contact with her. She would send daily updates with pictures of their activities they did during the day. I look forward to having Mary watch Charlie and Ruthie lou again!

To whom it may concern, I met Mary during the winter of 2019 at All Creatures Animal Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. We immediately became friends as she is an extremely approachable and easy-going person. We worked together quite a lot during the holiday season, even spending Christmas Eve and Christmas day working together when the clinic was at capacity with pets. She always had a positive attitude during this hectic time and made the shifts more enjoyable. During the time we worked together, I admired how thoroughly and kindly she cared for the pets. I love animals, but I think Mary understands them in a way that I do not. When I didn't know how to deal with an aggressive pet, she was always willing to jump to my rescue and take control of the situation. Additionally, Mary is a great team player. I remember an occasion where we needed to medicate a large dog that was extremely fearful of us. Administering the medication was scary and took us some time but we persevered and successfully treated the dog together. Although Mary is a few years younger than me, she has a lot more confidence around animals than I had at her age and even at my age now. Another impressive thing about Mary is that she is always early to work even though she lives 40 minutes away from the clinic. She is also early when she has to make the commute twice a day if she is scheduled to work the morning and afternoon shifts. If my testimony doesn't embody Mary's tenacity and competence enough, I implore you to give Mary a job at Rover. She is highly equipped for the job and would be one of your best employees. I would wholeheartedly trust her with my pets and with anything I needed outside of animal care. Anybody would be lucky to have Mary as a friend and as an employee. Best, Sofia R

Mary is one of the most responsible and caring people I know. She’s very attentive and has loads of experience with animals, including my Stink, who quite adores her. I can’t recommend her enough.
