Availability
I'm currently semi-retired and the work I do is mostly on-line, so I'm home nearly all the time. I'm also happy to take dogs overnight or go to the client's home and walk them or let them out, feed them or administer medication. My home is otherwise pet-free, so your dog will be the only one getting all my attention!

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced yard for play, great walking trails nearby, and a calm home where dogs can settle in easily. They’re welcome on the furniture and the bed. I keep things relaxed and comfortable so they feel like part of the household. I usually host only one dog at a time (or one family), which allows me to stay fully present with their routines, comfort, and emotional needs. My boarding rate reflects this level of individualized care and the calm, structured environment I maintain so dogs can settle in easily and feel secure while you’re away.

Information Mary V. would like to know about your pet
It's good to know your dog's likes and dislikes. Any allergies? Foods that don't sit well with them? I also am happy to reinforce whatever training you use for them. Just let me know their commands. How do they react to meeting dogs on walks or at the park? That sort of information is helpful.
A typical day
I frequent on and off-leash parks, generally. We can go exploring at Barber Park, Lucky Peak Discovery Park, or Simplot Field. There are convenient trails around my house. We also play in the back yard: Bring the chuck-it! I have room.

From Dog Rescue to Dog Sitting
Pet care experience
I have had dog companions since childhood, and love everything about them. I have 15 years of dog rescue experience in a large city (Los Angeles) and worked with the shelter and rescue organizations there. I helped found Animal Rescue Corps in 2011. I have experience with all sorts of temperaments, ages and breeds. I just love dogs and understand how important their care is. I love walking them and playing with them in the yard, and I'm also very responsible with medical needs. Do you have an older dog or one with compromised health issues? I am experienced with these kinds of dogs. My own needed medication for their entire lives, and don't have the temperaments that could deal with regular boarding. I'm happy to cater to their needs.
Reviews

Woody had a great time at Mary’s house! She made sure he had a box of toys and comfy bed for his visit!

Tucker and Hazel returned from Mary’s place happy and relaxed. We enjoyed the photo, assuring us they’d settled in. Highly recommended!

Mary was so kind and friendly! she took such great care of Oliver on his first overnighter!

Mary was amazing. She understood how to work with our high energy herding dog and gave her plenty of exercise with long walks. Her communication was great and we will definitely be booking with her again!
