Pet care experience
We love dogs!!
My name is Mary and I have worked with all sorts of animals, especially dogs, for 30 years. We own our home and have a good sized yard for our dogs and guest dogs. I do work full time as a zookeeper, have odd days off. This allows someone to be home often with our dogs and guests. The whole family helps and we really enjoy spending time with the dogs. I have experience with special diets and medicating, whether orally or injections if necessary. Please contact me with any questions or if you would like to meet us!

We were so happy to find Mary! When we booked, we had 12 yr old sisters. We had to put one down suddenly in March and were worried how Daisy would do in a new place, without her sister. Daisy felt right at home from the beginning! Mary and her dogs made Daisy feel safe and comfortable. The pictures and updates made me smile. I would highly recommend Mary! I would give more than 5 stars but can’t.

Schedule
I did vet tech work in the US Army, worked with Animal Welfare Depts. in Albuquerque and Rio Rancho. I have also worked at some boarding kennels in CO and NM. Currently I am a Primate Zookeeper.

Why I love dog sitting I grew up on a farm and have always been around dogs. I also served in the U.S. Army where I took care of the Military Working Dogs. I have also worked at animal shelters and boarding kennels.

A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks We walk in our neighborhood most of the time. If a guest dog is very good on leash, and ok with owner, we may go to a large park to walk, or on the bosque trail. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Most guest dogs sleep in our main level where our older Labrador sleeps. She has a crate with big bed, we keep it open for her. We have couches and different sizes of dog beds. The owners are welcome to bring beds, etc. Time I'll spend with your dog I do work full time, but my family also assists with guest dogs. I do get up early to have time with my dogs and guest dogs. My evenings are spent with all the dogs. If course I have days off, so I am able to spend more time on those days.
