Hi! I’m a huge dog lover with over 5 years of experience in dog walking and pet sitting. I’ve cared for dogs with all kinds of personalities, and I genuinely love getting to know each dog and making sure they feel happy, safe, and comfortable. I’m also very comfortable with dogs who aren’t necessarily the biggest fans of other dogs or people. My own dog is reactive, so I’m used to being patient, paying attention to body language, avoiding situations that may overwhelm a dog, and giving them the space they need. Because of this, I understand that every dog is different and that some pups need a little extra patience and care. I’ve mainly done dog walking and sitting in clients’ homes since I’m unable to board dogs at my own house due to my dog’s reactivity. I’m reliable, responsible, and will treat your dog like they’re my own. Most importantly, I absolutely LOVE dogs and would be so excited to spend time with yours! 🐶❤️

Mary is a wonderful, caring person with a genuine love for animals. She has taken care of our dog on several occasions, and we have always felt completely comfortable knowing he was in her care. She is attentive, responsible, and treats him with kindness and affection. Mary is also dependable, thoughtful, and easy to communicate with, qualities that I believe will make her an excellent caregiver and a great fit for Rover.
Mary Tapinos took care of my dog Luna a bunch! Luna absolutely adores her and nearly goes crazy when mary comes over to walk her or feed her. Mary has watched Luna multiple times when I had to leave town for work and she did such a great job every time! She’s been with me for a few years ever since Luna was a puppy and I’ve never seen my dog love someone as much as her! She even taught Luna some tricks!! Thank you Mary ;)
Mary gave extraordinary care for my golden retriever puppy. Zumi is a hyper little fella who tended to misbehave and occasionally tear up the house. But this was no match for Mary. She handled him with love, and although he sometimes wasn’t a good boy, she gave him the best care. If I could have Mary take care of zumi all year I would. Unfortunately, she is away at college, but I’m excited to see her back in the summer when she comes to watch Zumi. Mary shows excellent independent skills and when I leave Zumi with her, I know he’s in the right hands.

Schedule
I’m currently a college student at FIU, but I have a pretty flexible class schedule. I have two classes on Monday and Wednesday, one class on Tuesday and Thursday, and no classes on Fridays or throughout the weekend. Because of this, I’m at my apartment often and have plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. I also have my car here, so I am able to easily commute to different locations. I’m also a very active person and love going on walks, so taking a dog on longer walks is something I would genuinely enjoy. I live right near campus, and there is a grassy area directly below my apartment where people regularly take their dogs out, which makes quick potty breaks really convenient. I also have one roommate who loves dogs, so your pup would definitely be welcomed and cared for while they’re with me! I’m happy to work pet care into my schedule and make sure each dog gets the attention, exercise, and care they need.

Whether I’m caring for a pet in my home or in a client’s home, I treat every dog with the same love, respect, and attention that I would give my own. I have a genuine passion for animals and want every dog in my care to feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I always make sure to follow the owner’s instructions and their dog’s usual routine as closely as possible. I’m also very attentive to each dog’s behavior and needs, especially because I have experience with dogs who may be nervous or reactive. If I ever have any concerns about a pet, I will communicate them to the owner right away. My goal is always to provide a safe, positive environment and make sure the dog is happy and well cared for.
