I work as a life coach and fitness instructor, so I have a flexible schedule and am home much of the day. Your pet will receive plenty of attention, frequent potty breaks, and daily exercise — not just a place to sleep!

I provide conscientious care and honor your wishes for your pet. I know what it is like to have a bad experience with a dog sitter, and I never want to cause a negative encounter. I want you and your pet to have the best experience working with me!

Information Mary S. would like to know about your pet
I always like to know how the owner would like me to interact with their dog—for example, knowing if the dog is treat-oriented and the overall temperament is great. My first dog did not get along with other dogs, so I had to be extremely cautious on walks. It is helpful to know how your dog interacts with others. I can take larger dogs if they are a good fit for my chihuahua mix and any other Rover dogs that might overlap.
A typical day
I love to walk and experience the world with dogs. It is fun to exercise together and meet new people and dogs along the way! I also enjoy playing tug of war or fetch. I also love cuddling and petting dogs, which is relaxing for both parties!

Treating your fur baby like family
Pet care experience
I've loved dogs since I was a teenager, dog-sitting for friends in the military community. After active duty I got my own dog immediately — it had to be a Vizsla! Now I have a chihuahua and appreciate the uniquness of each breed. I hold a Master's degree in Integrative Health Sciences and bring that same attentiveness and care to every animal in my home. I treat each dog as the unique individual they are, learning their personality, preferences, and quirks. Your fur baby won't just be watched — they'll be genuinely cared for.
Reviews

Mary has been great! My dog, Cora settled in right away because of Mary’s welcoming home. She’s always available to discuss scheduling and providing regular updates over Cora’s stay, including pictures.

She is very patient, easy going, and I felt at ease with my pup in her care. I will definitely use her services when possible. I’m so glad I found her.

Mary is fantastic! Communication was great and she took great care of my guy. Couldn't recommend her more highly!

Mary has been great to Rory - we feel lucky to have found her as an overnight host!
