I am retired but do work part time helping a friend with household chores and driving him to appointments and shopping. I have a dog of my own, a double doodle who is almost 2 years old. Her name is Phoebe.

When I care for pets in their own home, I follow the instructions from the owner. If the yard is fenced in, I let them out, make sure they have food and water and play with them if they like that. If there's no fence, I take them out on the leash and go for walks. I clean up after the dogs when needed.

Let me know if your pet has special needs, medications, behavioral, special diet etc. I've had dogs and cats that had to take medications orally or by shots.
A typical day
If your pet has a favorite toy, we will play a lot. We'll go for walks if allowed. I'll spend time loving on them with scratches and belly rubs. My Phoebe LOVES belly rubs and snuggling. I will bring treats if allowed.

Pet care experience
I grew up on a resort near Ely, MN and when I was 10, I started pet sitting for the guests so they could go fishing for the day and not worry about getting back to take them out or feed them. Over the years I've had 6 dogs and 8 cats of my own so am familiar with loving, training and caring for them. I have helped friends by making house visits to take their dogs out for potty breaks, feeding and playing. I know how important it is to find someone reliable and trustworthy to care for our beloved pets.

I had a dog named Crisco and there were times when I went to a Christian Confrence In the cities for a weekend. Mary would keep Crisco with her at her house. I was never worried because I knew my dog was in excellent hands. Crisco loved Mary. Mary took Crisco about 5 different times for me. I also worked with Mary for over 18yrs at Anthem in Gilbert, MN. She is absolutley wonderful with animals. I would trust her anytime with an animal. Thank you.
Mary is one of the most thoughtful and caring people that I know. She has never been without a pet, either cats or dogs, and she cares for each one as of it’s her own child. When problems arise, whither behavioral or physical, Mary researches to find the solution. She is a great pet owner and would care for anyone’s pet as if it was her own.
