Safety, trust & environment
Safety, Trust, and Environment: Your pet's safety is our #1 priority! During our initial meet-and-greet, we will walk through a detailed intake, so that we can match your pet's normal routine and ensure they feel safe, relaxed, and loved while you are away. If there are several weeks between our first meeting and the booking, Mary will come by again to deepen your pet's acceptance and comfort. Dogs: During walks with leash-trained dogs at least one year old, two leashes will be used, each with a GPS tracker. No other person or animal will be allowed near your dog. If we are unable to cross the street or move to another trail, we will move as far off the walkway as possible and Mary will stand between your dog and the oncoming individual(s). Cats: Great care will be taken to ensure your cat stays within your home and designated area(s). You cat's unique personality and needs will be honored, and your care instructions will be strictly followed.
Information Mary R. would like to know about your pet
Meet-and-Greet: One to two weeks prior to your service start, an in-person meeting in your home is required for all new clients. During your new client consultation for any service, Mary will discuss your pet's unique needs and wants in-depth, including their personality, behavior, daily routine, health, training, and (most important) what makes them happy. Safety details for your home will also requested.

Loving care when you're not there
Pet care experience
Hello and thank you for checking out our profile! We are both from animal-loving (dogs, cats, horses, and cattle) families and have been especially blessed with the love of cats and dogs since birth - a German Shepherd taught Mary to walk! We have both cared for, cherished, and at times rehabilitated, many rescued dogs and stray cats. We became a blended dog family when we married in 2016 with Jim's Yorkie/Beagle Lucie and Beagle/Spitz/Spaniel Nellie plus Mary's German Shepherd/Great Dane Buddy and Border Collie/Lab Sage. Our mission is to provide a premium level of safe and loving care for your pet(s) at a fair price. We offer 30-minute and 60-minute drop-in visits at your home, on an as-needed basis. Many other wonderful Rover sitters can assist you with standing weekly visits. We are approved foster parents for a local rescue foundation and Mary has assisted in the evaluation and education of prospective fosters and adopters. Mary and Jim are also experienced in the care of our and others' senior dogs and cats, and dogs with post-surgery mobility issues. Mary's Memberships: - National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS) - Pet Sitters International (PSI) Mary's Certifications: - Responsible Canine Owners - Cat and Dog First Aid, American Red Cross - NAPPS Professional Pet Sitter - (in-progress) Good Pup Dog Training We passed Rover's background check with no concerns and Mary passed both her former federal government employer's and Maryland state checks. We are licensed in the state of Maryland and insured and bonded for professional pet sitting, providing extra security for your pet(s) and home. Note: At this time, Mary is providing all services. In case of emergency, Jim is always available as Mary's back-up to safely care for your pet. We are dedicated to learning your pet's routine, needs, and wants. Your instructions will be carefully followed, your pet will be fully supervised, and lots and lots of love given.
