I'm truly tickled to recommend Mary for pet care through Rover. She cared for my beloved dog, Einstein, up until his passing in October of last year—and I honestly don’t know what I would have done without her. Einstein was beautiful old hound, a stubborn as a mule, and would drool like a faucet. haha. Mary started helping me with Einstein when I began having trouble keeping up with his needs. He was older, had anxiety, and required daily medication and special attention. Mary took it all in stride with a level of maturity and compassion far beyond her years. She always made sure he was fed on time, given his meds properly, and that his anxiety vest was on during fireworks or stormy nights. She never needed to be asked—she just knew what he needed and took it upon herself to provide it. Not to mention wiping off his drool haha. What sets Mary apart is not just her natural way with animals, but her kindness and thoughtfulness toward people as well. As someone who's getting along in years, her help became more than just about Einstein. She was quietly helping me, what started as sharing a cup of tea together became a lovely friendship. She’s dependable, hardworking, and one of the most genuinely caring people I’ve ever met. Mary is a rare kind of person, and any pet would be lucky to have her in their life.
