Safety, trust & environment

I prioritize the well-being and comfort of the pets in my care. I engage your pet in regular exercise and play sessions to keep them physically active and mentally stimulated. This can include walks, interactive toys, and games tailored to their energy levels and needs. I provide individual attention and affection to each pet, ensuring they feel loved and secure during their stay. I strive to maintain a consistent routine for your pet by following their regular schedule, including feeding times, exercise routines, and any specific instructions provided by the owner. I maintain open and regular communication with you as the pet owner, providing updates on your pet's well-being, activities, and any concerns or questions that may arise.

Information Mary P. would like to know about your pet

If there is anything unique to your pet's care/routine I’d love to know! If they are treat or toy motivated I can incorporate that into our activities!

A typical day

I believe in providing engaging and enjoyable activities for the dogs I watch. Here are some fun activities I like to do: 1. Playtime: I make use of the available space to engage the dogs in interactive play sessions. This includes playing fetch, tug-of-war, and introducing them to stimulating toys. 2. Exploring Local Parks: If the pet owner allows and the dog is comfortable with it, I love taking dogs to nearby parks. It provides them with new scents, sights, and a change of environment. We can go on leisurely walks, allowing them to explore and enjoy their surroundings. 3. Nature Trails and Hiking: If the dogs are active and enjoy the outdoors, I may take them on nature trails or hikes. It provides them with a chance to exercise, experience nature, and engage their senses. However, this activity is always done with consideration for the dog's fitness level and any restrictions set by the owner. 4. Mental Stimulation: Apart from physical activities, I engage dogs in mental exercises to keep them mentally stimulated. This can include puzzle toys, obedience training, and practicing tricks or commands. It's important to note that the activities chosen will depend on the dog's personality, energy level, and any specific instructions provided by the owner. Safety is always a priority, and activities are tailored to suit the individual dog's needs and preferences.

dog lover with too much free time!

Pet care experience

Hi! I'm a lifelong dog lover who grew up with two Australian Shepherds and now help care for my family's two Aussies. Having been around dogs my whole life, I'm comfortable with pups of all ages, but I especially love caring for puppies and keeping them happy, active, and entertained. I recently finished graduate school, which means I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your dog the attention they deserve. Whether that's walks, playtime, cuddles, or just keeping them company, I'll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. What sets me apart is my experience with energetic dogs, my genuine love for animals, and the time I can dedicate to your pet. I'll treat your dog like they're one of my own and make sure they have a fun, comfortable stay while you're away.

Birdy absolutely loves Mary! It can be so hard to find someone that your dog wants to be around as much as you, but she’s our girl! She is patient, kind, and helpful! We trust her so much with Birdy and our home. We are so glad to have her around!
