I am at a point in my life where my kids are grown and out on their own. This allows me the time and freedom to pet sit in the pets own home. Though I am retired from Pet Grooming, I do work a full time job so i will be away from the house from 8ish am to 5:30ish pm Mon-Fri. I know there are many households that are used to this kind of schedule and truly look forward to taking care of your pets and homes!

Being able to pet sit in your home makes it much easier to keep your pets routines intact. I always do a meet and great before the actual service date. This gives me the chance to see what your routines are and to ask any questions so that I can replicate them while you are gone.
Information Mary P. would like to know about your pet
When staying with me, it would be very helpful to know the feeding schedule, medication schedule, any quirks..cute difficult or otherwise as well as potty schedule and if your dog is treated regularly for fleas.
A typical day
I try to adjust activities to whatever your pet likes and is used to. I do work during the week but I adjust my schedule to make sure I have plenty of time in the mornings for breakfast and walk and cuddle time before heading out. When close enough to my work, I go home on my lunch break for another potty break and play/cuddles. In the evenings there will be plenty of play and cuddles. On weekends they will have me all day! I enjoy going on walks/hikes so the active ones will get Alot of outdoor time.***I am currently experiencing asthma issues and unable to do long walks*** If you have a fenced back yard then there will be plenty of ball throwing and chase! For the less active pups, we will play gently when they like and nap in-between.

Pet care experience
My experience in pet care began when I was little. As a home that always had a dog, I learned early about a wide range of issues and joys that can come from owning a pet. From giving regular Injections for diabetes, making a blind dogs world easier and steady, teaching a deaf dog with only hand signals and the experiences go on. In my adult life I have volunteered regularly at my mom's dog agility center, I was a professional groomer for 20 years having just retired a year and a half ago. Those 20 years taught me how to constantly adjust to the tempermant as well as needs of whatever pup I am working with and I worked with all sizes, ages, health and tempermant. Over the years I have fostered/hospiced several dogs. This is my soft spot. Overall, I have extensive experience working with seniors, special needs, fearful, and injured/recovering from surgery dogs.
Reviews

Mary was awesome!!

Mary was great, will definitely ask her to watch our pup again in the future.
Mary always does a fabulous job when staying with my boys. I love the pictures she sends with periodic updates. Recently there was a problem of ants marching in and attacking the boys food. Mary found ant spray in the utility room and attacked the problem immediately and then let me know. I never have to worry when Mary is with the boys.

Mary was super responsive and provided lots of updates while we were gone! She was a super respectful house guest and everything was neat and clean when we got home. Thanks for taking such great care of our girl, Mary!
