Although we do not have a fenced yard, we walk your dogs leashed. We live out in the country on a lake, in the middle of nowhere on our own private 2 acres, on a dead end cul-de-sac with no traffic at all. We have a very large 20'x30' detached game room that is our hangout space, and would be where the dogs played indoors and could bed down. We have smoke detectors and a monitored alarm system that covers the house and game room. We have an excellent Vet available in Newberry, as well as access to a visiting emergency Vet service here at the house. There are no children or aggressive dogs here.

Information Mary Lou & Ken C. would like to know about your pet
We expect the dog parent to provide food, favorite bowl and bedding, to reduce stress. Favorite toys are also always welcome. All dogs must have current rabies and distemper shots, and we will ask for proof of such when you book. We have large wire kennels for night stays if that is how the dog is trained.
A typical day
Walks and play time are daily events. All dogs have different ways to play and socialize, and with the furbaby's parent, we can determine what works best.

Caring for Your Dog as Our Own!
Pet care experience
Following the passing of our beloved 13 year old furbaby Zoe shortly after Christmas in 2024, my husband Kenny and I decided to honor her memory by offering dog boarding services in our home. We wanted to create a space where other dogs would receive the same love and care that Zoe did while their owners are traveling or away. Now that we are both retired and home full-time, we are able to provide a calm, comfortable, and loving environment for dogs, free from the stress often found in traditional kennels. Our home offers a peaceful setting where dogs receive individualized attention and care - no concrete kennels or constant barking, just a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. Both Kenny and I have had dogs throughout our lives, often with two or three dogs at a time, as we do now. We have always adopted rescue dogs and regularly foster, with the aim of giving dogs a better future and a loving home. We have never, ever regretted this commitment. Currently, our family includes two dogs and two cats, all of whom get along well, are low-key, and are deeply loved. We have ample space and resources to care for your dog (or dogs!) as well, and would be delighted to do so. Additionally, we are pleased and honored to offer very low cost long-term boarding for any military service members who are deploying and need assistance caring for their dogs while they are away. Please feel free to reach out for more information.
Reviews

Responsive to communications and provided great service.
If you are looking for someone who will take care of your pet like you would, you need to contact Mary Lou and KC. They have a great space to let your pup get the exercise they need. The will not be stuck in a kennel with a small space to exercise. If you want your pet to be in the best place while knowing they will be taken care of I honestly ask that you reach out to them. I promise, you won’t be disappointed!
Kenny and Mary Lou have cared for our two dogs (husky mix and pit bull mix) and they love them like they are their own pups. Our dogs enjoyed a large yard to play in, being spoiled with love, and both Kenny and Mary Lou were excellent with following any special instructions we had. We highly recommend Zoe’s Dog Sitting!
