I’ve been pet, baby, and house sitting for as long as I can remember, and caring for others has always come naturally to me. Living on Sullivan’s Island, I love being part of this close-knit community and want to help take care of our fur neighbors just like they’re my own. Mary was fantastic. Five stars isn’t enough! I was able to enjoy my time away from my pup (Mona) stress free. Mona loved Mary and she provided me with fun photo updates along the way. For anyone looking for a caring and communicative dog-sitter, Mary should be your go-to!
I found Mary on Rover and we did a meet and greet and then she watched my two dogs for 4 nights at my place. We had great communication throughout the process and my pups seemed happy and well-cared for upon our return. We got some photos from Mary while we were gone and it looked like they were getting lots of love. Thanks Mary!!
Mary was a great caretaker for my cat, basil! Mary is extremely responsive and always made sure that I knew basil was in good hands. I really appreciate how friendly she is too. I will definitely hire her again!
Mary did not follow through with our booking agreement. I had told her twice prior, while requesting on the app and during our meet and greet, that my dog would need her last walk around 9:00pm on the final day of her visit. Mary agreed, so I submitted the appropriate time frame and paid her rate accordingly. She touched base with me around 4pm on the last day insisting that she would not walk Maisy at 9:00 as previously discussed unless I paid for an entire extra day. As someone who has been dog sitting through Rover since 2017, I understand that owners often come home from trips late at night, and it is the sitter’s responsibility to confirm and understand the hours requested before accepting a job. A Rover sitter establishes their rate per night, but Mary was under the impression the she had watched my dog for “free” on her last day. This came off as extremely unprofessional. Luckily the Rover support team sent out a new sitter (on them) to complete the evening that Mary was originally responsible for. Heartbreaking to know that your pup is not being cared for because of a sitter demanding more money after breaking an agreement

Mary was absolutely fantastic with my little man! We’re from WI and just moved and it was wonderful knowing he was being taken care of so well while I was at work overnight! Can’t wait to have her as a sitter in the future!?
