Pet care experience
Your pet's emotional support human
All kinds of animals, especially those with extra needs, have a special haven and comfort with me when you need to get away. With my unique experiences encompassing more than the average suburban pet lover, animal friends are my specialties. I've had pets (and more) my whole life and can't imagine a life without them. I know how I would love my loved ones to be treated if I cannot be with them and take extra steps to provide that comfort. Since 2017, I had a homestead raising a wide variety of animals including cats, dogs, chickens, ducks, turkeys, rabbits, goats, and cattle. I have assisted many pregnant goats during the birthing process, which included safely rescuing stuck babies, keeping a watchful eye over the newborn babies until they have nursed, and ensuring mama has the aftercare she needs, such as plentiful access to food/treats and clean electrolyte water. I have not had as much opportunity with reptiles and aquatic friends, but I am eager to learn and put forth as much attention as I do with their furry counterparts! Since 2021, I have fostered dozens of animals for a non-profit rescue and transported about 200 animals for them. I am observant of animal behavior, so I notice quickly when a pet wants something or is injured/isn't feeling well. Having spent years with outdoor pets, my natural initiative outside is to assess the environment around the house and be the look out for other animals around to avoid any harm and potential negative experiences. In addition to domestic animals, I am no stranger to handling wildlife. I have gained the trust of many scared animals that others had given up on. Having lived on rural land where there was limited services nearby, I had to learn survival and first aid techniques for emergencies. My neighbors and family bring their animal friends to me to nurse back to health and saved each of them hundreds on vet bills. I am a firm believer in preventative care and affordable, natural nutrients to aid their immune systems. I am more than happy to bring your pet to the vet whenever you need and rarely have issues getting them in a pet carrier and other transportation issues. I also have experience in medical care. I can do SQ injections, give pills to nervous animals (purrito!), change bandages, remove botfly larva, and help you find great deals on supplements and food. I find creative and positive ways of solving behavior issues. An example of how I problem solve: I was walking three foster puppies. I named one of them Piranha because she wouldn't stop biting my pants, which slowed down the other two. My instinct was to give her a stick and she joined the others for a normal, undistracted walk. I am well versed with redirection and resourceful with solutions. Making your life easier and improving the lives of your beloved animal friends are my specialties!

Safety, trust & environment
I pride myself in being interactive with your pets and providing them with engaging experiences and comfort. If you have a secured, fenced yard, that will make it so much easier for me to keep them active. I avoid high occupancy parks to prevent potential problems.
Ratings and reviews
Mary is amazing! We are so grateful to have found her. Our pets are family and we have had a longtime pet/house sitter we loved who has moved out of the area. We were a bit anxious about finding a new pet/house sitter but Mary put our fears at ease. Right off the bat Mary was professional and made the process seamless. She is everything we were hoping for. She was very nurturing and considerate with our dogs and house. Honestly I don't want to write this review as we want Mary all to ourselves but the right thing to do is share the love.
Always does an amazing job. Additionally, she helped give some ear medicine to my dog which is not a fun task but absolutely helped out. 10/10 recommend

Mary did a wonderful job, highly recommend. Plenty of updates and took exceptional care of my dog / house while watching.

Five starts for MaryAnn! She is an amazing dog sitter and I will absolutely hire her again. She stayed at my house with my four dogs and took excellent care of them. She kept me updated throughout the day and even sent some awesome pictures of them. In addition to caring for the dogs, she kept the house tidy and vacuumed the dog hair too! I highly recommend her for your dog sitting or walking needs. :)

Loved all the updates and reports Mary sent. She took great care of our pups and home. We have 4 bulldogs and they are high maintenance, nose wipes, butts wiped and the little girl needs extra potty breaks. Mary was amazing and we would use her again next time we go out of town. Our pups were calm where usually they are stressed when we bring them other places. This was our first time having someone come to our home and I was super nervous and Mary made everything easy and calm.

Another excellent experience with Mary as a sitter for our kiddos for the second time. She did a marvelous job as usual! Mary always gave us updates on how our dogs and cats were doing and gave them plenty of play time with toys and hugs. Mary once again went above and beyond and cleaned up the house as if we were never on vacation! Mary will be our go to for watching our animals without hesitation!
