We both work at home and it is easy for us to place a priority on a dog that is in our care. We are mindful of leaving the dog for any period of time and we make sure we check in with you on that. We’re happy to give your dog car rides if they like that. Whatever spells fun for your dog, we’re happy to provide.

When we have our meet and greet, I will be interested in a day in the life of your dog so that we can mimic as much of that as we can, so they are comfortable. We are happy to abide by any rules that you have including timing and treats and meds and training. We really are here to give your dog the best experience they could have.

Information Mary Jo H. would like to know about your pet
I enjoy having a conversation with you about your dog. I like meet-n-greets too, as they really seem to put both parties at ease with the arrangements being made. I like to ask what a typical day if like for your dog. I like to be able to emulate that as much as possible, so I like to know about the "nature" of your furry loved one. We give your dog one-on-one attention as we are not sitting more dog than one. I like to give them as much time as I can at first so they transition well into our home. I will exercise him/her regularly, because I like to exercise regularly. I can work with any "idiosyncrasies" that your dog might have....let's just discuss them up front.
A typical day
We have access to a nice walk, just stepping outside our front door. We spend time sitting outside on our deck, and can give dogs some companionship if they love to sit in the sun. Whatever they are used to we will do our best to imitate.

Both of us work from home, we have a lovely deck with some green space. And we live on open space and have dog walking sidewalks and paths all around us. We finished caring for a family dog for 15 years. We enjoy loving and caring for dogs on a temporary basis, as it fills our home with the incomparable energy of a canine. I have a lot of love and attention to give. Your dog is sure to have a comfortable, active stay with us. We do not have any other animals in our house, so your dog will be our priority. Meet and greets work really well for us. It’s good for us and for you and your dog. We love puppies like everybody does, but we are not puppies and so we prefer dogs that are at least three years old. Thank you for considering us.
