Availability

I’m in school full time in the fall but have full availability over the summer. When house sitting I won’t be able to be there 24/7 but I’m happy to do an overnight if you need it. I may need to work for 3 hours but never more than that.

Safety, trust & environment

I have 5 cats at home correctly, so I’d prefer to pet sit in your home as bringing in more pets to our already loud house will be a little chaotic. I follow best practices when walking on the leash and will follow all your care instructions. Be prepared for tons of pictures from me!

Information Mary H. would like to know about your pet

I can do oral medications for dogs but I’d prefer to not have to do any shots. I don’t have much experience with elderly dogs or special needs, but I am open to talk about your situation. I’d appreciate having their vet information readily available in an area other than an app in case of an emergency and the app isn’t working (technology can suck sometimes) I’m happy to do oral medications and shots for well behaved friendly cats!

A typical day

I’m happy to go on long walks, play catch in the yard or even go to the dog park as long as your pet is normally well behaved in those environments. Tug of war was Kona’s favorite and don’t forget the treats! I have a really nice park to walk in in my neighborhood so I’m happy to take your dog on an adventure or even a hike if okay with you!

Mind the Whiskers Cat Sitting

Cat care experience

Welcome to Mind the Whiskers Kitty Sitting! My name is Mary, but I usually go by Molly. As a passionate cat lover and experienced foster parent to many kitties over the years, I am dedicated to providing exceptional pet care for your feline companions. With over 5 years of experience in cat sitting and both a cat sitter (dog sitter and home sitter), I understand the unique needs and quirks of our whiskered friends. As a cat lover, I have always been drawn to the joy and companionship that cats bring. My experience as a foster parent has further deepened my understanding of their needs and behaviors. Over the years, I have opened my heart and home to numerous cats, providing them with a nurturing environment until they find their forever homes. In addition to being a foster parent, I have also gained valuable experience as a house sitter. This experience has allowed me to not only care for cats but also maintain and manage their living spaces. I understand the importance of maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for cats, ensuring their overall well-being. Taking care of cats with special medical needs is a responsibility I take seriously. With training and experience in administering shots and oral medications, I am well-equipped to handle various minor medical situations. While I have had experience administering oral medications and diabetic medications, if your pet is very ill I recommended them staying with a vet or hiring one of our many vet techs with more healthcare experience. I recognize that each cat has unique dietary requirements, and I am committed to meeting their specific needs. From following specific feeding schedules to providing medicated food, I tailor their meals to support their health and happiness based on your and furry friend’s schedule. Choosing my cat sitting service means entrusting your beloved cats to a passionate and experienced caregiver. I treat every cat as if they were my own, showering them with love, attention, and playtime. I am dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing environment where your feline friends can thrive, even in your absence. As a cat sitter, I know how important it is for cat parents to stay connected with their furry companions while they're away. That's why I provide regular updates and photos, keeping you informed and reassured about your cats' well-being. I want you to have peace of mind, knowing that your cats are in loving and capable hands. If you're looking for a cat sitter who understands the unique needs of your feline friends, I am here to help. With my experience as a foster parent, house sitter, and caregiver, I offer a comprehensive range of services tailored to your cats' specific needs. Contact me today to schedule a meet and greet, and let me provide the exceptional care your cats deserve.

Mary is excellent. We’ve ask Mary to walk/work with both of our dogs who are very different. One 14 yr. old and one a 7 month old puppy. Both flags needing unique attention needs. We asked Mary if she wouldn’t mind shift more time on our puppy Leo as he needed more social interaction with strangers. Mary fully understood and quickly got what we trying to accomplish with our new puppy. She walked him exactly as requested using the guidelines we asked for his training needs. Even with him barking at her! Mary is now on our permanent contact list for future dog sitting and walking needs. We can’t recommend her enough.

Our experience with Mary was SO great. She was very flexible around our holiday schedule and was in constant communication throughout. Would definitely recommend her and will be using her again.

My dog loves Mary! Going out of town last minute was less stressful after I got her many updates and maps of their walks. Mary was on time and reliable. Highly recommend her!
