I am fantastic at following instructions, love to take long walks around the neighborhood, and aim to always be a proactive communicator. Prior to COVID (and during the pandemic in a limited capacity), my partner at the time and I ran a dog care business out of our Denver home. Dog walks, in-home long term stays, housesitting, drop-in day care, we did all of it and loved every minute of it. Dog deprived in the fall of 2020, we adopted a dog of our own! Naga is a ~5 year old Aussie shepherd mix, a little runty, and very sweet and silly. It was such a fun opportunity to employ all the skills we'd learned with other people's dogs, and 5 years in, I regularly get told how well-behaved she is. A quick learner and food motivation make our life together very fun! Currently employed at Trader Joe's, so I am away from the house for max 4 hours (am able to come home for lunch breaks).

As I mentioned, I'm great at following directions. I'm happy to defer to how you need your pet to be cared for - crating vs. roaming, playing in the house or the yard or a nearby park, feeding, walking for as long as is needed to get the zoomies out, administering medicine, disciplining in your style, etc. I am not currently accepting pets in my own home, so there is no need to worry about our pups getting along or not :)

Mary did a phenomenal job taking care of my dog daughter Mikki. She was trusted the second Mikki and I met her because of her natural charm and grounded presence. From the conversation we had on our introductory walk, you could tell Mary was very patient, present and positive. From feeding her, to walking her, to following all the instructions to a tee, Mary exceeded my expectations. She quelled my own personal anxieties by sending daily updates on Mikki’s status and anxiety levels, since Mikki’s phobia of fireworks was triggered one of the nights Mary was sitting. To top it off Mary left a hand written note informing me of how Mikki was and won me over with her prompt responsiveness, attention to details and genuinely kind demeanor. If you’re looking for a trustworthy, highly responsive, kind, dog loving sitter, reach out to Mary. I know I will, since she’s now my new permanent sitter.
Mary was wonderful! She sent updates and Cope was a happy dog. She left our house super clean :)
Mary is fantastic with animals. She has taken care of my 2 high-energy corgis, and brings a level of professionalism, calmness, love, and attention to detail whenever interacting with them. She treats your animal like her own. I would put my utmost trust in Mary with any animal!

Schedule
I am available for morning walks and house sitting for the time being, as I'm currently working afternoon/night shifts! I have access to a car as well.
