Safety, trust & environment

Your dog's health and safety is my first priority. My boyfriend and I live in an apartment complex located in a safe, gated community. I have access to 2 large fenced-in dog parks and there is a wonderful walking trail around the lake. All dogs eligible to be boarded at my home must be fully house broken, crate-trained, and get along well with other dogs. Dogs are only kenneled at night or when I need to leave the house—this is for their safety and to protect my home. If your dog has recently (past 2 weeks) been in contact with Parvo, Giardia or kennel cough, unfortunately I will not accept them in my home for the safety of others in my care. Unfortunately I'm not able to accept dogs with separation anxiety.

Home

Lives in an apartment
Has a fenced yard
Non-smoking household

Dogs not allowed on furniture

Information Mary Grace D. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or behaviors that I should be aware of. While your dog will always be under my supervision, it's important that they have a good temperament towards other dogs that might be present during their stay. All dogs eligible to be boarded at my home must be fully house broken and crate-trained, as I always crate dogs when I have to run a quick errand as a safety precaution. I never leave unsecured dogs together unsupervised. Unfortunately I'm not able to accept dogs with separation anxiety. Vaccinations required: Rabies, DHPP, Boardatella (within the last 6mths of boarding) are required. (Please provide a clear picture of Vaccination records) I am currently unable to accept bully breeds at this time, unless under the age of 6 months, with a meet and greet. Female dogs may not be in heat or close to heat. An additional fee will apply if a dog goes into heat during their stay. Intact (not neutered) males, will include a $5 night/day care fee.

A typical day

I love to stimulate dogs physically and mentally. I have lots of toys we can take to the dog parks in my neighborhood and there is a wonderful trail around the lake perfect for walks! My profile states that dogs aren't allowed on my furniture / bed, but this is really just up to the owner's preference (I don't want them to pick up any bad behaviors during their stay). Dogs are more than welcome to be on my furniture / bed if that is what they are accustomed to - just make sure to clarify with me first!

Pet care experience

Hi there! My name is Mary Grace and I have over 18 years of dog-sitting experience. I work remote full-time, so your fur-baby will receive personalized, loving care 24/7. I'm very reliable, organized, and have a flexible schedule. I currently foster dogs for an organization that specializes in herding breeds (mainly Australian Shepherds), so it is likely I will have a foster(s) during your pet's stay. All my fosters are temperament-tested and must be able to get along with other dogs before I accept them. I've worked as a receptionist at a dog grooming facility and currently volunteer at an animal shelter (PAWS) which has helped me gain more exposure and awareness to animals with varying medical conditions that require special care. I have first-hand experience caring for special needs dogs administering insulin shots to diabetic dogs. More than happy to provide references upon request. If you or someone you know is in need of dog-sitting services, please feel free to message me for more info!

Kept me informed daily about how my dog was doing. Loved getting the pics she sent. Was flexible when my flight was cancelled and had no issues with taking care of my dog an additional day.
