Looking for a reliable walker or sitter? I'm your person! I have been dog walking and sitting for Portlanders for 10ish years (in human years) and expanded here on Rover a couple of years ago. I'm a part-time graduate student and work from home, which makes it easy for us to set a date to talk about your pet companion needs! I have no pets of my own and I love doting on your special pet, whether for a walk, a daycare, or an overnight. I enjoy caring for pets of all ages and have trained puppies (I know not to leave my shoes lying around!) as well as elderly and medically sick animals. I've also done a ton of cat sitting (and chicken sitting, actually) so if you have other special pets in the home, just let me know. Looking forward to meeting you and your pet(s)!

Mary is very kind and seems to really get my dog. I don't have to worry if he'll miss me when I'm gone, because she takes him on plenty of walks, finds new ways to entertain him, and always sends me plenty of pictures. I can tell my dog enjoys his stays with her.
Mary watched Milo for 5 nights, and was absolutely wonderful. Milo came back to us happy and healthy, and was obviously super comfortable around Mary. Throughout the stay, Mary send several updates each day (videos and photos) . Considering Milo is leash reactive towards dogs and likes to jump on people, Mary was able to handle him with no issues and still gave him two walks daily. I couldn’t recommend enough! Milo can’t wait to see his new friend again.
Mary took fantastic care of Bruce! She was very thoughtful in how she looked after him and seems to have a great understanding of dogs. She suggested I change where I hook my dog's leash onto his harness so he wouldn't pull anymore and he's responded super well. It seemed like she and Bruce really bonded, she sent plenty of pictures and I could tell Bruce had a nice time when I was gone.
Root has another wonderful stay with Mary!! She took him on wonderful adventures to the river and beach, kept him safe and gave him the opportunity to explore and have fun! We love having Root stay with Mary!

Schedule
Currently working and finishing grad school part time, both remotely. Pet sitting fits in very easily with my already flexible schedule! I’m able to prioritize care for your pets.

I pride myself on prioritizing your pets when they are in my care. I truly care care animals and it’s a joy to spend time with them and get to know their unique interests!
A typical day
Does your dog enjoy hiking, running or long walks on the beach? I'm an avid outdoors person and a furry companion makes it twice as fun! I am a compassionate person and truly enjoy spending time with dogs and attending to their needs, personality, and quirks. I know how lonesome a pup can become when their human family is away and I have all sorts of tricks for easing symptoms of separation anxiety of all types (chewing, barking, whimpering, fasting etc.) Looking forward to hearing from you!
