I've had dogs all my life until last year and I miss being with them. My vet was surprised that my birds and dogs always lived so long. I've had chihuahuas, Yorkshire terriers, poodles,dachshunds, schnauzers, and dalmatians. And have pet-sit a beagle, jack Russell terrier, and labs. It's fun to learn all of their individual personalities. My house only has carpet in the bedrooms and they all have doors we can close. We have a fenced back yard with a tree and plenty of room to run and explore safely. My husband or I will stay with your dog(s) while they're outside in the back yard. I have lots of blankets and rugs for comfy beds and will supply snacks and toys with your approval. I will always be sure your dog has fresh water and food in a clean space. It's very easy to let them in and out from the back yard and we'd watch to see when they desire either. My husband and I are like grandparents to pets and enjoy talking to them, petting them, playing with them and meeting their needs when they want. I feel better about them staying in the house or back yard but will walk them in our neighborhood if needed once a day. We have a storm shelter in case it's needed. I enjoy watching up to 3 dogs at a time but they need to be from the same home.
