Having taken early retirement from teaching last year, I am now immersing myself in working for the community, seeing parts of London that I've never got round to seeing, and also walking local dogs that I know and trust. We lost our beautiful 15 1/2 year old cocker spaniel two years ago and miss her every day. However, I now have a baby grandaughter, who lives nearby, who I care for once a week. My elderly mother lives in North Wales and I often need to visit, which is why I do not take on dogs for longer stays, in case I have to cancel.

Information Mary D. would like to know about your pet

I need to know medical requirements, likes and dislikes, behaviour quirks etc. I will let dogs off the lead when I know them well and trust their recall.

A typical day

A long walk and fun in the forest, sometimes followed by a stop at the cafe, or a short trip shopping locally. We play ball games and 'hunting games' at home, or whatever is appropriate for the dog. Your dog will have 1:1 attention, with walks and activities right for them. Rest and cuddles in the afernoon and a shorter walk later, when needed.

Location

London, United Kingdom

Mary D.'s Neighborhood

I love walking dogs in all weathers!

Pet care experience

I have lots of experience of living with, and walking, dogs. I enjoy walking in all weathers. I live next to a forest, which is amazing for walking dogs. I like to spend time with your pet and I usually only have one dog at a time so that I can focus on their needs.

Mary is wonderful with our sometimes nervous and anxious dog. We got lovely pictures whilst we were away and she was luckily to go on forest walks near Mary's home.

As usual Mary was fantastic with Penelope - who was very excited to see Mary and is obviously well loved while she is there.
