Friendly Aussie with high energy and lots of love

Pet care experience

I've had dogs my whole life, and have been dog-sitting for family and friends since I was 14. I have my own dog, a gorgeous border collie who I've raised from being a puppy but who I've unfortunately had to leave behind with my parents in Australia (where he is living the life swimming at beaches and being spoiled by his grandparents!). I love pets, and love getting to know their individual quirks and personalities. I've got a variety of experience from high-energy breeds who thrive on endless exercise, games and learning tricks - to cuddle-bug pups who love nothing more than a good cuddle and rub behind the ears. Trust that I'll get just as much joy out of spending time with your dog as they will hopefully have with me!

Easy 5/5 stars! I already felt so comfortable with Mary when we met in person. She was the best during her house sitting for our pug puppy. She clearly read all our instructions, sent thoughtful timely updates and pictures. Pistachio seemed happy and we will certainly hire Mary again!

Mary was great with Winnie and took our booking at late notice. Winnie was upset to see her leave!

Safety, trust & environment

My priority is making your pet feel safe and at ease. Building trust is super important, and I love to shower them with cuddles, activities, or whatever else makes them comfortable. I always keep a close eye on animals in my care, and make sure they have access to a safe and cosy space to retreat to, clean water and the right food, and any human reassurance they need from me.

Information Mary D. would like to know about your pet

Does your dog have any special needs or accommodations - including allergies or dietary needs? Do they have any specific fears, anxieties or avoidances I should be aware of? Does your dog have any specific walks or parks they love? Or any games, toys or activities that would bring them comfort or distraction while they're missing you?

A typical day

I love to explore parks, trails and new places with dogs - especially if there's lots of fun smells to find! I firmly believe that walks are not just about exercise but also about adventure, fulfilment and stimulation for your pet. I also would love to practice tricks and new skills with your dog, that mental stimulation can be so fun for them and is just as important as exercise.

I have a hybrid work schedule, so am able to work from my home (or yours!) in order to take pups out for regular breaks and walks during the day and after work, and am more than happy to spend weekends playing fetch, teaching tricks and exploring walks.
