I am currently working from home and would love the excuse to get out and walk or, when it's really too hot, engage in play in the backyard.

Safety, trust & environment
I am mindful of the various personalities I could encounter. I understand that not all pets want to play. Some want to chill and know that you're there. Others need to get that energy out. When doing pop ins, I would be mindful of what their humans say.
Information Mary C. would like to know about your pet
Dogs: Just let me know if your dog is a puller or reactive or if there are walking preferences (long or short, sidewalks or parks) Cats: Some cats never make an appearance. I get that. Mine are like that. But let me know if yours are shy so I can know if they need to be checked on or if they're just being Cat Spies.
A typical day
Dogs: Depending on the weather, we could be on a walk checking pee-mails, in the yard fetching or playing chase, or even just chilling out inside where it's cool and playing a game of tug-a-toy or just enjoying midday belly scritches. Cats: I let them decide. Maybe they just need to stare at me from afar. Maybe they need to walk all over my lap and show me their tush. They decide.

Pet care experience
I've been a foster carer for various greyhound organizations here (ATX and DFW) and in Australia. I get the hounds that are cat safe and get them used to living with cats. I'm always fostering, which is why I cannot take in more dogs for sitting, but I can do pop-ins. Before I fostered greyhounds, I used to petsit for friends' parents. I love to scritch ears, make up stupid songs for them, and play on the floor. My current pack consists of two sighthound mixes and two middle-management cats.

Reviews
I have known Katy C. for a more than a decade as a loving cat and dog parent, foster mom, and tireless rescuer of retired greyhounds. She has adopted one of my most "difficult" greyhound fosters and has made his world bigger, brighter and so filled with love. I would not hesitate to leave my own dogs in Katy's expert care. She is energetic, trustworthy, honest and kind, and a natural "dog magnet". Katy will be an asset to the Rover family! -Lisa B.
I’ve known and trusted Katy with my animals for several years now. She takes great care to support the individual animal in front of her; paying attention to emotional needs in addition to the more obvious ones. You’ll not find a more dutiful caretaker.
