The dogs in my care have the run of the apartment. We do not use ex-pens or crates unless the dog's owner recommend that we do. When we go someplace in the car we have seat belts for two extra dogs. The seat belts require connecting to a harness so please bring your dog's harness. If you do not have one, we have an extra here. We do not use harsh chemicals in the home. All of our cleaning supplies are natural ingredients.

A Lifetime of Loving Care for Dogs

Pet care experience

As a long-term breeder I have plenty of experience in many areas. I offer boarding services for dogs in my own home. I raised Labrador Retrievers for 20 years and West Highland White Terriers for 5 years. During that time I provided loving dog care for many of the puppies as they grew while their people were away on vacation or out of town on business. I also provided foster care for rescued dogs until they could be placed in to their new homes. I have a small place so I CANNOT have dogs over 25 pounds. I prefer for them to be under 20 pounds. I usually have only one dog at a time. However, I will sometimes take a second dog if a client that I sit for regularly has a need that overlaps a booking. No cats here. My Boston Terrier loves visitors. We are near the Kirkland Corridor Trail, which is perfect for walks. We also visit other trails such as Bridle Trails and Edith Moulton Park. I am retired so I have practically unlimited time to spend with your dog! And most importantly, I love dogs. All dogs! I try to get my errands done when I do not have a dog in my care. So my focus is always the dog(s) that I'm caring for. I'm very attentive toward the pets in my home. I'm able to see them at all times. Since I have my own dog, my home is always kept dog proof and safe.

Rocky was in good hands with Mary and her Boston terrier Chloe. I enjoyed the daily photos. Thank you!

Mary was an incredible dog sitter for my senior dog with anxiety (and for me, a human with anxiety). It had been a long time since I looked for a new dogsitter, so I started my dogsitter search with a long list of worries. Luckily, Mary set up a meet and greet to answer all my questions and set my concerns to rest. I was out of the country for two weeks, and she sent me photos + updates of my dog each day. Though I provided my dog’s anxiety meds, she didn’t excessively use them and tried to help him without them first. I really appreciate both how accommodating Mary was for my dog’s needs and how reassuring she was for my own anxieties. Thanks again, Mary!

Mary is so kind and caring. She has a lot of experience with dogs and their medical needs, which I really appreciated, as my dog is older and has a few conditions that required daily medication.
