Hi! I'm Mary Ashley, but you can call me Mary, Mash, or Mary Ashley! Whatever you prefer. I became a pet sitter and house sitter because I absolutely adore animals. When I was younger I had a pet Labrador Retriever and for the past 12 years my family has had the pleasure of owning a Maltese who I love dearly. He is not just a pet to us, but rather a member of our family. I know how much you can miss your pet when you're away and how important it is to feel like you have left your pet in good hands. I can assure you that I will take care of your pet(s) and home as if they were my own. In addition to having my own pets, I have volunteered at animal shelters, been a volunteer puppy socializer, dog-walked, housesat, catsat, and dogsat for the past thirteen years. I am new to the area, but spent the majority of the past two years in Alaska booked for pet-sitting. I am experienced with puppies, kittens, middle aged dogs and cats, senior dogs and cats, chickens, guinea pigs, hamsters, goats, pets requiring medication, and pets with special needs. I have taken care of dogs as small as dachshunds to as large as great danes, as well as dogs with high-energy levels such as huskies. I offer several services: Dog Walking: I can walk your dog for 30 min or an hour. I understand every dog is different and may have different needs. Do they do well on a leash (and harness)? Do they have a set route for their walk? Do they like meeting other dogs? Do they like sniff everything as they walk? I can provide this service in the evenings while you are busy at work, cooking dinner, going out, etc during the week or at any point during the day on the weekends. If you live nearby - I may be able to provide the service in the morning before leaving for work. Drop In’s: I stop by to let your dog out to do potty or change the litter box in the case of a cat, feed them, refill the water bowl, give them treats and pets, play with them, etc. House Sitting: For house sitting I will bring my duffel bag and stay there while you're away. I will respect your belongings and will leave the house in the condition it was when I arrived. If you would like, I can strip the bed and/or wash any sheets or towels I used during my stay. I am also fine with watering plants, bringing packages inside, etc. Lastly, I will never have anyone else over without prior permission.
